Hiyamaru flew beside Himeko. Compared to walking... Hiyamaru still preferred flying. As the Herrscher of Corruption, she knew all too well how dangerous Honkai energy was. Honkai energy was infectious across an entire area; it could spread through the air.
As long as they remained within Yae Town, no matter how they tried to avoid it... if they were unlucky, they could be corrupted by Honkai the very next moment.
"But there's no other way!"
She did not deny what Hiyamaru had said, but there was no other option.
Solving Honkai... was, for now, a completely unsolvable problem. After all, under the rules of this world, as long as civilization existed, Honkai was bound to descend!
The only way was to... face Honkai head-on, even master it. Just like those Valkyries and Herrschers!
The best way to overcome fear was to face it!
The same was true for Honkai, though most of the time... not only could one not overcome fear or conquer Honkai, one would instead lose one's life.
"True..."
Hiyamaru did not know how to respond either.
The three continued onward. Hiyamaru curiously looked around, flying into the sky one moment and descending the next, sometimes even circling around them directly.
"Big Sister, is this really Yae Village? It's changed way too much, hasn't it?"
Hiyamaru landed on Himeko's head, lightly lying atop her red hair as she sighed emotionally. The Yae Town before her was far too different from the village she remembered. It was completely unrecognizable!
"Five hundred years have already passed. No change would be surprising."
What interested Himeko more was the shrine still preserved in Yae Town, as well as that Tenshu-kaku. She wondered whether those two places had changed at all.
"Five hundred years..."
Hiyamaru seemed to think of something.
"Huh? Himeko
