The difference between zombies and Honkai Beasts was that one came from mutated animals, while the other came from humans... Essentially, they were the same.
"Besides the possibilities I mentioned before, there is another one... Only Herrschers who have truly not betrayed the Honkai can command and control Honkai Beasts and zombies, as well as speak directly with the Honkai will. If they have betrayed God, or are no longer trusted by God, then it is possible for them to lose that authority."
Hearing Sirin's question, Himeko sighed softly... but continued explaining.
"So... I can't control Honkai Beasts anymore?"
Looking up at Himeko, Sirin had not expected that to be the reason.
"Don't overthink it. What I said may not be entirely correct; there could be other reasons. In the end... the zombies in Yae Town were not born because of you, so it is perfectly normal that they do not obey you."
"Alright, someone has their eyes on us now... As long as we find that person, everything will become clear." Gently stroking Sirin's long hair, Himeko raised her head and looked toward a mountain in the distance.
"Where are we going now?"
"To find Yae Shrine. It should be halfway up that mountain." Looking at the mountain ahead, its appearance had changed completely... but its general location had not.
"There? Then let's go."
As the three made their way from Yae Town toward the foot of the mountain ahead, several zombies appeared from time to time along the way. There were far more than the nearly one hundred mutants mentioned in the official records.
When Himeko and the other two approached a small bamboo grove, the sounds of fighting drifted out from within. One of the voices... was extremely familiar.
