With one swing, Himeko sent the flaming humanoid before her flying. She rested her greatsword on one shoulder and turned to look at the others.
Meanwhile, because Theresa had called for Sirin's help, Sirin was now controlling a Spear of the Void that pierced through a dead soldier's body.

Theresa thanked Sirin, then looked at the dead soldiers' corpses on the ground and fell into thought.
They had to quickly develop a method specifically designed to counter monsters like these. Otherwise, they would be far too passive.
But the most useful method would probably be having Grandpa develop a set of Valkyrie Armor specifically for this kind of enemy. At that thought... Theresa recalled the armor Otto had said he was preparing for her. It seemed particularly suited for these enemies.

Sirin calmly shook her head and walked over to Himeko's side.
"Alright, let's... go in!"
Himeko approached the door of the house before them. She could clearly see that it was unlocked; with a simple push, it would open.

Standing at the doorway, Himeko took a breath... then pushed the door open.
The instant the door opened, a sharp arrow carrying terrifying Honkai energy shot straight at Himeko. Even though she had been prepared and dodged to the side, the arrow still grazed her cheek.
After dodging, Himeko immediately touched her face. Feeling a faint sting... she held her fingers before her eyes, where red blood stained all four of them.
