Looking at Kuzunoha before her, Fu Hua found her increasingly strange.
"...I considered it, but I haven't gone yet."
She had been born during the Northern and Southern Dynasties one or two centuries ago. That era had been a period of great division in Shenzhou's history, following the Eastern Jin and Sixteen Kingdoms and preceding the Sui Dynasty. It had begun in 420, when Liu Yu replaced the Eastern Jin and established Liu Song, and ended in 589, when the Sui destroyed Chen.
It had been the darkest era in Shenzhou's history, bar none. Having only recently taken human form, she had been extremely weak. Even now, despite being a Fox Demon, she was unwilling to recall what she had experienced during that time.
At first, she had merely been a white fox that had accidentally eaten something and gained sentience. With her newfound intelligence, she had been able to escape most predators.
Then one day, she encountered a very strange human.
Although she looked human, a pair of fox ears grew from her head, nine fluffy fox tails trailed behind her, and even her scent was identical to that of the Fox Clan.
A voice in her heart had also told her not to offend this strange human. Not that she could have even if she wanted to; before this strange human, her body had been completely unable to move.
Then this human with fox ears and tails suddenly picked her up and helped her take human form as well.
Only then did she learn... this strange human was a demon, a Fox Demon.
After taking human form, she had initially stayed by her sister's side. Well... the Fox Demon who had helped her transform had told her to call her sister. Her
