Durandal and Rita
The bleak, freezing wind howled past, carrying a faint chill along with what seemed like endless dust. Yellow sand filled the air, completely obscuring one's vision.
All around... there was nothing but barren rock and sand, not a trace of human habitation. The only evidence that anyone had ever been here was probably the weathered skeletons on the ground, their forms long since eroded beyond recognition.
Desolate, barren, bleak...
Looking around, there was nothing but ochre sandstone and yellow sand... not even the slightest bit of vegetation could be seen.
This was a place... something like a borderland, perhaps even the kind of place that humans living on the frontier would disdain. The environment was so harsh that even birds and beasts refused to come here.
Until... two figures dressed in blue and white suddenly... appeared out of thin air amid the wind and sand.
"Where am I... Ugh~ My head hurts!"
The two girls, different in appearance yet similarly dressed... almost simultaneously clutched their heads.
"No, there are two fields of vision again. Does that mean there are two bodies this time too...?"
Enduring the headache, the two beautiful women slowly opened their lovely eyes in perfect sync. The next moment... they saw another "themselves" sitting opposite them.
