"Heh..."
Looking at the area before her, now clean once again, Rita's wine-red eyes held a faint, unconcerned smile. Those bugs were only dangerous because of their self-destruction, but in Rita's hands... they could not even self-destruct.
"The battlefield has been cleaned up. Let's return to Lord Durandal's side!"
Though they were both herself... the habits of their bodies were still different, and she was still affected by them.
Rita had a somewhat mischievous side and liked teasing Durandal. She pursued perfection in cooking and was polite to everyone. Durandal, on the other hand, valued order greatly and was extremely fond of cleanliness. She was straightforward and said whatever was on her mind...
Their habits were different. Even though they were now both herself, the differences in their bodies and personalities caused them to act differently.
Lightly dusting off nonexistent dirt from her hands, Rita withdrew her stand and turned to return to Durandal's side.
However... before Rita had taken more than a few steps, her expression turned calm again, and she stopped.
There was... something else behind her.
However... Rita did not pay it any attention this time and continued walking calmly. Just as the thing was about to catch up with her, a Knight's spear was hurled down from the sky, accurately piercing the incoming creature.
"Boom!"
A small mushroom cloud rose up, and an ice shield formed behind Rita once more, blocking the shockwave from the explosion.
Once the wind and sand dispersed, a beautiful knight's lance stood planted squarely in the head of a monster... several times larger than the bug-like monsters from before.
However, this monster did not seem as though it was about to explode.
"It seems... this is the leader of these monsters. The reason they exploded was probably because of it!" Durandal
