The officer looked at Durandal beside Rita and could not help being stunned by her bearing. Rita's presence had already seemed unfathomable, but Durandal's was even more overwhelming!
On Durandal, the officer seemed to see the Empire's Great General... No, her aura was even more terrifying than that Great General's.
It was as though she was the true Great General of the Empire, the one who commanded all the armies under heaven.
This only further confirmed the officer's earlier suspicions. Lord Durandal was absolutely extraordinary. Even if she started as a common soldier... she would likely not need long to become a genuine general of the third rank or higher.

"Which military district were we assigned to? Enough nonsense. Take us there directly."
Durandal swept her gaze over the officer, who seemed to be trying to curry favor with her, and spoke expressionlessly in a commanding tone.
There was an uncompromising force in her voice, one that allowed no refusal.
Had anyone else spoken in such a tone, the officer would have been displeased. But coming from Durandal, it somehow felt only natural.
Not a trace of resentment arose in the officer's heart, and without realizing it, the officer was ready to obey her every command.
"Yes, my lord!"
Facing Durandal's orders, despite the fact that the officer had personally helped secure Durandal's position, the officer did not find anything inappropriate about it.
The officer immediately led Durandal and Rita toward their assigned military district.
Seeing the officer act so spinelessly, Rita shook her head speechlessly.
