Not bothering to pay him any more attention, Rita led Sirin straight over to the group of children. Some of them looked vaguely familiar to her, but most were strangers.
As Rita looked over the children, they were looking at her as well... and at Sirin behind her.
There was curiosity, as well as anticipation!
Compared to the fierce-looking adults from before, Rita was undoubtedly much more approachable.
So they hoped Rita would choose them.
"Sister, that purple-haired big sister isn't wearing shoes. Isn't she afraid of hurting her feet?"
Kurotama stood beside her sister Akame, curiously watching Sirin at Rita's side. Seeing her bare feet planted on the ground, she could not help softly asking Akame beside her.

"Shh, don't talk!"
Kurotama speaking at such a critical moment gave Akame quite a fright. She hurriedly stopped her in a low voice.
"Okay..."
Though she was still curious, Kurotama did not say anything else. However, she then noticed that the purple-haired big sister was smiling at her.
"I'll take all the girls who passed in the top twenty!"
After giving the children a few looks, Rita could not be bothered to carefully pick through them and simply made her decision. There were quite a few girls here who had passed.
Hearing Rita's words, all the children looked confused. Why did she only want girls?
Akame and Kurotama, on the other hand, immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
"That's great, sister! We won't be separated, and we can stay together again."
"Mm. Kurotama, I'll protect you properly."
The two sisters were very happy. No matter how bitter or exhausting things became... as long as they were together, every day was a happy one.
