Inside a simple wooden hut.
Tang San had been back for several days. He sat on the edge of his bed, staring blankly out the window.
He held a pink hair ribbon in his hand. Xiao Wu had left it behind.
The wooden door suddenly swung open. Yu Xiaogang stood in the doorway, his brow deeply furrowed as he looked at Tang San's haggard appearance.
He already knew what had happened that day-the people from the Body Sect had captured Xiao Wu and forced her to sacrifice herself. Tang San had been unable to do anything but watch.
How was that any different from doing that in front of her husband?
Yu Xiaogang walked up to Tang San and said gravely, "San, stand up."
Tang San seemed not to hear him and continued clutching the hair ribbon.
Yu Xiaogang raised his voice.
"I said stand up!"
Tang San's eyelashes stirred. He raised his head to look at Yu Xiaogang. "Teacher... I'm useless. I couldn't protect Xiao Wu."
Yu Xiaogang looked at him, his chest heaving several times, his voice carrying suppressed anger.
"That accursed Body Sect! How dare they treat my disciple like this!"
Yu Xiaogang clenched his fists. "I will destroy the Body Sect at any cost!"
Tang San's eyes suddenly lit up at those words.
"Yes... destroy the Body Sect."
Yu Xiaogang stepped before him and pressed both hands onto his shoulders, his voice low. "San, you have to pull yourself together!"
"A body martial soul is merely a part of the human body. How could it compare to tool martial souls and beast martial souls? They simply rely on their numbers and strength and follow crooked paths!"
"With my guidance, you will surely become a powerhouse and avenge Xiao Wu!"
Tang San looked somewhat lost.
