Folks, do you remember that book I promoted for someone a while back? I talked him into writing "A Hundred Days to Godhood."
It was a pretty good idea. I thought it could work, so I told him to give it a shot.
His results were actually very good. With my recommendation on top of that, he made the new releases rankings on his first day. His results dipped a little on the second day, but he was still on the list. Yet he simply stopped updating because the results fell short of his expectations.
Then he even posted a standalone chapter cursing me out, saying I had talked him into writing it and that it wasn't a good premise.
Later, in our friends' group chat, he also said I had given him a garbage premise. He even asked why I didn't write it myself if it could become a hit.
But I mainly wrote The Legend of the Dragon King fanfiction. I wasn't familiar with Douluo I.
He said, "If you can write a hit with it, I'll concede. Otherwise, you're just screwing people over."
I had to write one and slap him hard in the face with it, to show him that if you can't walk, don't blame the road for being uneven.
So over the past few days, I kept thinking about how to approach it, and came up with a book.
The title was "Douluo Dragon King: The Dragon God Trial Screws Tang San and Shrek to Death."
This novel opened with Class-12 God-Slaying Soul Cannon Shells bombarding Shrek. No messing around at all.
The entire continent took on Shrek.
