To be honest, when I started writing this book, I wanted to incorporate elements of Reverend Insanity and make something like a fanfic, but I never expected the Reverend Insanity niche to draw so little traffic. My editor also told me that Reverend Insanity actually didn't get much traffic, and that was precisely why I rewrote the original first three chapters. They were originally supposed to imitate the clan-slaughtering content in the original, but they ended up locked away.
Then, after the book went premium, a week of steady updates brought in engagement figures that were nowhere near enough to sustain regular updates for this book. Let me put it this way: continuing to write would be no different from running on love alone.
After all, working myself to death to maintain steady updates for a month, only to get one or two hundred yuan in return, simply wasn't worth it.
But just like that book about Magnetic Field Rotation, it did indeed have few readers and low earnings at first, yet a day would come when its fortunes turned around. Even if this salted fish never managed to flip itself over in the end, at least I wouldn't have let down the outline I wrote or the brain cells I burned through during all that time.
Let me also explain why updates haven't been steady lately. The biggest reason wasn't low earnings. Those who read the Magnetic Field Rotation book should also know that even when there was no money in it, I would always update on time, unless something really came up or I was unwell. I really don't like writing when I'm in a poor mental or physical state. Anything I force myself to write won't have any quality to it, either.
So, when I don't need the full-attendance bonus, I'll update at irregular intervals if I'm unwell or mentally exhausted.
I hope you'll all understand.
I hope everyone can keep supporting me, too! After all, there are far too few books about gu on QQ Reading.
