Ch. 41Teaching (II)

Jiang Che taught Zhu Zhuqing to treat speed itself as a source of attack power, using a Profound Water Turtle to demonstrate the principle. Zhu Zhuqing embraced this new path and asked why the Speed Clan had declined, leaving Jiang Che ready to explain.

  • Jiang Che caught and subdued a Profound Water Turtle, then activated the Incomplete Symbiotic Cultivation Method with a contract.
  • Zhu Zhuqing struck the turtle with a forceful punch, but it barely moved, so Jiang Che told her to prioritize speed instead.
  • Zhu Zhuqing punched the turtle at greater speed and saw that her attack became stronger.
  • Jiang Che instructed Zhu Zhuqing to use the speed boost from her first Soul Skill without its claws, and her charge drove the turtle back several meters.
  • Jiang Che warned Zhu Zhuqing that she would need to strengthen her body as her speed increased.
  • Zhu Zhuqing asked why the Speed Clan had become a subordinate sect of the Clear Sky Sect and was later struck from its rolls, and Jiang Che praised her question.

Ch. 42Teaching (III)

Jiang Che explained how Zhu Zhuqing should develop her speed and adapt to her Hell Spirit Cat martial soul. He left her with a new training method: practice living in Martial Soul Possession as much as possible.

  • Jiang Che described the Speed Clan's limit-focused cultivation and warned Zhu Zhuqing that speed was useless in combat without control.
  • He advised Zhu Zhuqing to choose speed- and dark-attribute Soul Beasts, especially cats or leopards, and avoid Soul Rings that did not strengthen her speed.
  • Jiang Che explained that repeatedly absorbing Soul Rings from similar Soul Beasts could alter a martial soul, but kept the theory private to avoid mass hunting.
  • Jiang Che introduced the Martial Soul Possession Adaptation Method and told Zhu Zhuqing to maintain possession during cultivation and daily training.
  • Jiang Che explained that practicing in possession would help Zhu Zhuqing adapt to her transformed body, though maintaining possession constantly would consume too much Soul Power.

Ch. 43Blade Force

Jiang Che trained Zhu Zhuqing to control her Soul Power for greater speed and taught her the Symbiosis Method, while he mastered Blade Force and killed a thousand-year Cave Demon Spider. Zhu Zhuqing watched his strength in awe and looked forward to absorbing a Soul Ring of at least three thousand years as her third.

  • Jiang Che coached Zhu Zhuqing to sense and redirect her Soul Power while sprinting, and she briefly exceeded her maximum speed before collapsing from exhaustion.
  • Jiang Che healed Zhu Zhuqing with his first Soul Skill, Profusion, and over the following week taught her the Symbiosis Method, which she accepted.
  • Jiang Che mastered Blade Force and used it to kill a 1,121-year Cave Demon Spider, earning 15 Skill Points.
  • Zhu Zhuqing and the Profound Water Turtle watched Jiang Che defeat the spider, while the turtle remained at his side after benefiting from a Soul-Enhancing Pill.
  • Zhu Zhuqing reflected on Jiang Che's strength and anticipated absorbing a Soul Ring of at least three thousand years as her third Soul Ring.

Ch. 44Another Encounter

After Zhu Zhuqing left, Jiang Che continued hunting in the Star Dou Great Forest until the Wind Ape caught up and chased him through the woods. He wounded it with Water Tribulation Blue Silver Blade, but the enraged beast cornered him and attacked his abdomen.

  • Jiang Che said goodbye to Zhu Zhuqing, who vowed to defeat Dai Mubai, and let the Profound Water Turtle continue following him.
  • Jiang Che hunted several spirit beasts and accumulated 541 Skill Points.
  • The Wind Ape found Jiang Che and pursued him deeper into the Star Dou Great Forest as he tried to escape through the trees.
  • Jiang Che struck the Wind Ape with Water Tribulation Blue Silver Blade, drawing blood and enraging it.
  • The Wind Ape dodged Jiang Che's next attack and swept one claw over his head while aiming its other hand at his abdomen.

Ch. 45Enlightenment

Jiang Che discovered how to unleash his blade force as a flying attack and killed the Wind Ape, but the battle’s aftermath caused the ground to collapse beneath him. He woke in an underground cavern, where the Profound Water Turtle had saved him, and noticed a fragrant breeze coming from a passage.

  • Jiang Che realized the blade force itself could act as the flying flowers and began striking the Wind Ape from a distance.
  • Jiang Che unleashed his blade force against the Wind Ape’s red-light attack, wounded it across its body, and killed it, earning 15 skill points.
  • The ground cracked and collapsed, and Jiang Che fell into a dark hole after exhausting his Soul Power and True Qi.
  • Jiang Che woke beside a pool in an underground cavern and learned that the Profound Water Turtle had saved him.
  • Jiang Che found a narrow passage and smelled a delicate fragrance carried out by the wind.

Ch. 46Immortal Herb

Jiang Che discovered an underground field of Stars Flowers and identified its rare Star King Flower as an immortal herb. As the flower began to bloom, a Purple-Patterned Iron Centipede attacked, forcing Jiang Che to defend it while he waited to absorb its essence.

  • Jiang Che explored a luminous underground cavern and found a field of purple Stars Flowers surrounding a golden plant.
  • Jiang Che used the Record of Ten Thousand Herbs to identify the plant as the immortal herb Star King Flower.
  • Jiang Che waited beside the Star King Flower for three days while restoring his strength and preparing to absorb its essence when it bloomed.
  • The Star King Flower began opening, and Jiang Che heard movement approaching through the passage.
  • A Purple-Patterned Iron Centipede entered the cavern, and Jiang Che split it with his Blue Silver Longsword, but the creature lunged at him and the flower.

Ch. 47Going Back

Jiang Che absorbed the Star King Flower, transforming his Blue Silver Emperor Martial Soul and gaining new abilities under moonlight. After helping the Profound Water Turtle absorb the remaining flower, he parted from it and set off toward the Heaven Dou Empire by a safer route around the forest.

  • Jiang Che killed the Purple-Patterned Iron Centipede and swallowed the Star King Flower's essence, enduring its painful effects as it reshaped his body and Blue Silver Emperor.
  • Jiang Che discovered that his Blue Silver Emperor had become tougher and could grow rapidly when infused with Soul Power, then gave the withered Star King Flower to the Profound Water Turtle and stored its roots and stem.
  • Jiang Che found that moonlight increased his cultivation speed and awakened the Blue Silver Emperor's Stars State, which accelerated regeneration and improved toughness.
  • Jiang Che gave the Profound Water Turtle a Soul-Enhancing Pill, said goodbye, and headed north toward the Heaven Dou Empire.
  • Jiang Che chose to skirt the Star Dou Great Forest rather than cross its dangerous interior, planning to hunt Soul Beasts for Skill Points along the way.

Ch. 48Encountering Tang San Again

Jiang Che returned to Suotuo City and ran into Tang San and Yu Xiaogang, who mocked him for refusing Yu Xiaogang’s tutelage and predicted he had made little progress. After Tang San noticed Jiang Che had surpassed level twenty, the argument erupted into a confrontation that ended with Yu Xiaogang releasing his martial soul.

  • Jiang Che returned to Suotuo City after a long detour and decided to stay there rather than go to Heaven Dou City.
  • Yu Xiaogang ordered Jiang Che to stop, and Tang San blocked his path before recognizing him as the boy who had defeated him at Nuoding Academy.
  • Yu Xiaogang ridiculed Jiang Che’s talent and claimed he had not reached level twenty, while boasting that Tang San was close to level thirty.
  • Tang San noticed Jiang Che had already surpassed level twenty, prompting Jiang Che to call Yu Xiaogang and his student trash.
  • Tang San attacked with a poisoned silver needle, but Jiang Che stopped it with his defenses and revealed two yellow soul rings.
  • Yu Xiaogang told Tang San to step back, released his martial soul, and prepared to teach Jiang Che a lesson.

Ch. 49Defeat

Jiang Che defeated Yu Xiaogang and Tang San in the street, humiliating Yu Xiaogang before leaving for the north gate. Tang San and Yu Xiaogang were left shaken, while Yu Xiaogang vowed to make Jiang Che pay.

  • Yu Xiaogang attacked Jiang Che with Luo Sanpao’s two fart-based Soul Skills, but Jiang Che avoided the gas with his Qi Condensation Shield and mocked his Martial Soul.
  • Tang San sent Blue Silver Grass at Jiang Che, but Jiang Che’s aura stopped the plants; Jiang Che then cut Tang San’s hair with a Water Blade and felled a nearby tree.
  • Jiang Che rushed behind Yu Xiaogang, who collapsed from fear before Jiang Che could kick him, and Jiang Che taunted him for calling others trash.
  • Jiang Che left for the north of the city, reflecting that Tang Hao was likely away while Spirit Hall hunted him after he attacked five branches.
  • Tang San helped Yu Xiaogang up, and Yu Xiaogang vowed to make Jiang Che pay while Tang San privately wondered whether they could win.

Ch. 50Soul Fighting

Jiang Che registered at the Soto Great Soul Arena under the alias Cola and entered a singles match against Ma Hongjun, one of the Shrek Seven Devils. The fight began with Ma Hongjun attacking with his first soul skill, Phoenix Fire Line, leaving Jiang Che facing the incoming flames.

  • Tang San reminded himself that his Clear Sky Hammer and twin martial souls gave him an advantage over Jiang Che.
  • Jiang Che rented a house, visited the Soto Great Soul Arena, and registered as a rank twenty-eight Support System Battle Soul Master.
  • Jiang Che chose Cola as his fighting title and tipped the maid who had explained the arena rules.
  • Jiang Che entered his first singles match against rank twenty-seven Ma Hongjun, the Evil Fire Phoenix.
  • Ma Hongjun released his martial soul and used Phoenix Fire Line to attack Jiang Che.

Ch. 51Soul Fighting (2)

Jiang Che defeated Ma Hongjun and built a record of consecutive victories at the Soto Great Soul Arena, where he became known as the Killing God. After his death matches, he overheard two maids and stopped them to ask what they had said.

  • Jiang Che blocked Ma Hongjun's flames with his Qi Condensation Shield, used Blue Silver vines and smoke to close in, and knocked him down with a saber slash.
  • Jiang Che defeated six more opponents in succession and then registered to fight alone in two-on-two matches, including one-against-two death matches.
  • Jiang Che's instant victories made him famous at the arena, where spectators called him the Killing God and he reached 36 consecutive wins.
  • After a day's death matches, Jiang Che heard two maids talking, stopped them, and asked what they had just said.

Ch. 52Encountering Tang San Again

Jiang Che arranged to fight Tang San and Xiao Wu alone, and the two arrived at the arena expecting an easy match. When the masked fighter was announced as a level-twenty-eight Blue Silver Grass soul master called Cola, Tang San suspected he was Jiang Che, the opponent who had frightened him a week earlier.

  • Jiang Che obtained the registration papers for Tang San and Xiao Wu’s Three-Five Combination and asked the staff to arrange a match against them.
  • Xiao Wu told Tang San their opponent, Cola, would fight them alone, and Tang San dismissed him as someone showing off.
  • Tang San and Xiao Wu entered the arena, where the announcer introduced Cola as a level-twenty-eight Blue Silver Grass support soul master.
  • Tang San and Xiao Wu remembered Jiang Che from Nuoding Academy, and Tang San also recalled his frightening encounter with him a week earlier.

Ch. 53One Against Two

Jiang Che faced Tang San and Xiao Wu in a two-on-one Soul Fighting match, surprising them with his rank-twenty-eight Soul Power and new Starry Eyes skill. Tang San and Xiao Wu coordinated their opening attack, and Xiao Wu launched herself toward Jiang Che’s back as the fight continued.

  • Tang San and Xiao Wu realized the masked, blue-haired fighter was Jiang Che, whose Soul Power had reached rank twenty-eight.
  • Jiang Che dismissed Xiao Wu’s questions and challenged the pair to fight.
  • Tang San reviewed his advantages, including his Tang Sect Secret Arts, Blue Silver Grass toxin, Soul Power reserves, and Xiao Wu’s support, then declared that he had the advantage.
  • Tang San boosted Xiao Wu onto his shoulders, forming a human tower as Jiang Che rushed toward them.
  • Tang San sent a swarm of Blue Silver Grass vines at Jiang Che, who activated Starry Eyes and cut the vines apart with five Water Tribulation Blue Silver Blade strikes.
  • Tang San launched Xiao Wu diagonally behind Jiang Che, and she aimed a knife-hand strike at the back of his neck.

Ch. 54A confident Tang San

Jiang Che tested Tang San and Xiao Wu in the arena, then countered Tang San’s Parasitism with his Qi Condensation Shield and revealed his star-patterned blue silver grass. Tang San mistook Jiang Che’s stillness for paralysis and confidently believed he had won.

  • Jiang Che threw Tang San off balance, and Xiao Wu used Tang San’s shoulder as a foothold before Jiang Che mocked their acrobatics.
  • Jiang Che and Tang San recognized that they had been testing each other, and Tang San prepared to fight alongside Xiao Wu.
  • Tang San activated Parasitism using blue silver grass seeds he had planted on Jiang Che, but Jiang Che’s Qi Condensation Shield stopped the vines from reaching him.
  • Jiang Che’s golden-threaded, starry blue silver vines emerged and drove Tang San’s vines out of his control, astonishing the spectators.
  • Tang San assumed his blue silver grass neurotoxin had paralyzed Jiang Che and told Xiao Wu to wait for him to give up.

Ch. 55Fury

Jiang Che overwhelmed Tang San and Xiao Wu in the Soul Fighting match, using his Blue Silver Emperor and Monarch’s Pressure to disable them and provoke Tang San into attacking. Tang San’s hidden weapons failed to break Jiang Che’s Qi Condensation Shield, leaving him facing Jiang Che with his strongest weapon exhausted.

  • Jiang Che’s Blue Silver Emperor suppressed Tang San, forcing him to his knees, while Jiang Che’s vines pursued him and Xiao Wu.
  • Xiao Wu pulled Tang San toward the platform’s edge, but Jiang Che wounded her ankle with a water blade and bound her in the vines.
  • Tang San attacked Jiang Che with Silent Sleeve Arrows, but Jiang Che’s Qi Condensation Shield blocked them, and Jiang Che then flung Tang San off the platform.
  • Jiang Che tightened the vines around Xiao Wu, and her screams drove Tang San to attack again with Bone-Piercing Nails and other hidden weapons.
  • Tang San’s hidden weapons bounced off Jiang Che’s shield, and his Back-Mounted Flower Crossbow pushed Jiang Che back several steps without injuring him.

Ch. 56Defeated Again

Jiang Che defeated Tang San and the Three-Five Combination, while Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong won their first team match together. The Shrek students reunited afterward, and Tang San appeared devastated by his loss.

Ch. 57Qian Renxue

After Jiang Che defeated Tang San and Xiao Wu in a two-on-one Soul Fighting match, he considered how to overcome the Blue Silver Emperor’s weakness to fire and planned to seek the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Qian Renxue learned of Jiang Che’s talent and prepared to meet him in person, while She Long urged her to investigate before drawing conclusions.

  • Xiao Wu told Dai Mubai and Oscar that Jiang Che had defeated her and Tang San alone, and she explained that Tang San blamed himself for failing to protect her.
  • Jiang Che reviewed his recent matches and recognized that Ma Hongjun’s Evil Fire had exposed the Blue Silver Emperor’s vulnerability to flame.

  • A subordinate told Qian Renxue that Jiang Che was the child named in the Pope’s decree, and she reviewed his record and wondered why he had not joined Spirit Hall.
  • Qian Renxue ordered preparations to meet Jiang Che, and She Long advised her to sound him out before assuming the worst.

Ch. 58Building ties
