Golden light flickered over the Paladin, every piece of his equipment glowing as he dodged left and right through a barrage of water arrows.
But there were too many water arrows. He grew a little careless and was finally struck by one.

An enormous spray of water engulfed the Paladin.
The attacking Titan felt a surge of delight, thinking he could knock the Paladin out of the air.
Then the spray dispersed.
Yet an earthen-yellow glow appeared over the Paladin, and he continued flying into the distance unharmed.
"Damn it! A follower of the Earth Mother Goddess! No wonder a mere mortal could withstand my blow! But even so, you can forget about escaping the grasp of a mighty Titan!"

Riding the waves, he gave chase.

Terrifying sound waves thundered like bombs, blasting up the entire surface of the nearby sea.

She folded her wings in the sky.
She aimed the openings at her wingtips at one of the Titans, and intense flames and light began gathering inside them.
The two Tidal Titans' hearts lurched as they sensed a trace of danger.
One of them strengthened the defensive layer of seawater overhead.
