They encountered a few obstacles on the way back, but the journey went fairly smoothly.
Some of the missing people were still alive, though very weak.
With Qin Yan there as their healer, none of them had any major problems in the end.
Some had died, eaten as stored food by the newly hatched ants.
Some of those they brought back had also had parts of their bodies eaten.
"Thank goodness we had the Fasting-Repelling Pills Yanyan gave us. Otherwise, we wouldn't have survived this long."
Great-Great-Grandmother stroked Qin Yan, her eyes full of affection.
Qin Yan rubbed her little face against her hand.
"Great-Great-Grandmother, you have to take good care of yourself."
She took a whole assortment of things out of her storage space.
There were vegetables, fruit, and Spirit Honey.
"You should drink lots of this, Great-Great-Grandmother."
The elderly woman smiled and nodded. "Then thank you, Little Yanyan."
After she was taken away to rest, the others gathered around and began discussing the ant nest.
"We have to deal with those ants, or our village won't be safe."
Cloudtop Miao Village really had suffered one disaster after another. First there had been the Snake Maiden Flowers and Red Snakes, and now an enormous nest of ferocious Red Army Ants had appeared.
While they discussed their plans, Qin Yan laid everything she had brought from the ant nest on the table before her.
Most of it was Yellow Rock Crystal knocked off the Red Army Ants' heads. There was an ant egg, too, of course.
The ant egg wasn't particularly big, only about the size of a goose egg.
But its color was the most unusual among all those eggs.
The other ant eggs had all been red. This one alone was gold.
How could it not stand out?
