"Another child prodigy!"
Kraft's eyes snapped open, and he sat up from his bed, rubbing his temples with a hint of annoyance.
He'd had another dream, and this one's protagonist seemed even more outrageous than Dr. Shinonome.
Though he was two years older than Dr. Shinonome, this little boy named Child Emperor created things far more practical than Dr. Shinonome's inventions.
Or rather, much more powerful.
From that perspective, Kraft was quite satisfied to have dreamed of him.
It was just a bit of a blow to his own ego.
And compared to little Dr. Shinonome's unreasonable genius, Child Emperor's genius, at least, had some logic behind it—he'd made himself a learning helmet that could directly inject knowledge into his brain...
Alright, that learning helmet itself was already quite illogical.
But it was a great help to Kraft.
Although he learned so many bizarre inventions from his dreams, Kraft could only copy many of them, actually understanding little to none of the principles behind them. But with this learning helmet invented by Child Emperor, Kraft could at least quickly understand the principles of those inventions, not just blindly copy them, but also modify them to better suit his needs.
For example, there was an invention he dreamed of before called the Dragon Radar. As the name suggested, this thing was used to find something called Dragon Balls. But in Kraft's world, there were no Dragon Balls. After he made the Dragon Radar, it was too dim to even use as a flashlight; it was completely useless.
But after understanding the manufacturing principle of the Dragon Radar, he could change its function of searching for Dragon Balls and apply the radar's functionality to other areas.
There were many similar inventions. Before, Kraft could only spend time constantly flipping through the books and notes of the characters in his dreams. In some scenes where there were no books, he could only understand them by repeatedly replaying the creation process.
Now, with this learning helmet, it was different. Kraft could directly inject that knowledge into his brain, little by little.
Yes, little by little, it was being injected...
After finishing the learning helmet, Kraft tried to use it and discovered that it had requirements for the user. Geniuses like Child Emperor could inject a large amount of knowledge into their brains without any hesitation.
But the brain of an ordinary human like Kraft couldn't receive too much knowledge at once. It wouldn't explode, but when too much was injected, his head would turn into mush, his consciousness would blur, and his thoughts would become chaotic. By the time he finally regained clarity, the relevant knowledge would already be mostly forgotten, and he wouldn't even remember what he did when his mind was in chaos.
It was somewhat similar to his early dream states, or the feeling of those ruffians who drank heavily and smoked weed.
However, even so, Kraft's learning progress had improved significantly, especially in dreams where relevant scientific knowledge books were placed in laboratories or rooms. Understanding the principles of their inventions became much easier.
After absorbing knowledge from several different worlds, Kraft also discovered some rule differences between these worlds, yet he himself could ignore these differences. If he wanted to use the rules of a certain world, those rules would take effect when he made things.
"So, is this... a superpower?"
Kraft looked down at his hands and muttered to himself, somewhat confused.
But this also explained why he could master Engineering's bizarre "hand-crafted bronze pipe" technique. It was probably some rule from the world of Azeroth.
His dreams didn't come with an instruction manual, so Kraft could only deduce things based on his own experience.
Of course, for Kraft, the principle behind why he could use the rules of the dream worlds wasn't that important. He was more interested in the manufacturing principles of the inventions in his dreams.
"Kraft, Bruce Banner has entered New York."
Countless light rays converged in front of Kraft, forming Angela's phantom image.
This was a new function Kraft had added for Angela after mastering a projection technology from a certain dream. She didn't even need a special projection device; as long as there was enough light, Angela could control the lights herself and adjust them to the wavelength that could project her virtual image.
In short, it was another piece of technology that refused to play by the rules of science... or rather, science.
"Bruce Banner? Didn't that guy hide away in some remote jungle? What's he doing back in New York?"
Kraft had always had Angela keep an eye on the walking disaster that was the Hulk. The information he'd received earlier was that Bruce Banner no longer wanted the Hulk to cause destruction, so he'd gone into hiding, also to evade the American military that was relentlessly pursuing him.
It was interesting how General Ross, who was always chasing Bruce Banner, was actually his girlfriend's father. And his girlfriend, Betty Ross, was also someone who would forsake her father for love, or rather, go all out for love. She had resolutely fallen out with her father for Bruce Banner.
However, from Kraft's perspective, General Ross's actions were indeed not commendable. He deserved to be betrayed by his own daughter.
"Bruce Banner seems to have found a way to solve the Hulk problem."
Angela was unaware of Kraft's internal rant about America's powerful general. She maintained her usual cold demeanor, mechanically answering Kraft's questions. Only when sparring with J.A.R.V.I.S. online could a hint of excitement be seen on her face.
"I've been tracking Bruce Banner's recent emails and found that he's been using 'Mr. Green' as his online handle, communicating with someone named 'Mr. Blue.' He's also sent some of his blood over, hoping that Mr. Blue could help solve the Hulk problem. Now it seems he's succeeded."
"Mr. Blue, Mr. Green... did they know each other before?"
"No, based on their chat logs, they seem to have only communicated online."
Angela extracted snippets of several emails. The content indeed indicated that the two had never met.
"WTF... Bruce Banner dared to send his blood to someone he hadn't even met? And he's actively coming to meet him. Isn't he afraid this is a military trap?"
Kraft was dumbfounded. How could this adult seem more naive than himself, a child? Had the Hulk affected his brain, making him go crazy?
"But he succeeded, and Samuel Stern, also known as Mr. Blue, is indeed not part of the military."
Angela mercilessly refuted Kraft's complaint and added.
"However, the military has also discovered Bruce Banner's whereabouts. They are mobilizing troops to arrest Bruce Banner. But according to my calculations, by the time the military arrives, Bruce Banner should have finished his treatment, so the Hulk is unlikely to appear."
Kraft shook his head. "Tsk tsk, General Ross's luck, who knows if it's good or bad."
