The story returned to when Hiruzen Sarutobi sent those Anbu back with the injured Boruto.
Hiruzen Sarutobi placed a strand of his chakra on one of the Anbu.
"Wait until you see Danzo in person before activating my chakra!"
And so, those Anbu returned to Konoha with Boruto.
Because of the terrifying battle outside the village, Konoha's streets were rather quiet, looking utterly deserted.
Only Anbu wearing plate armor and masks and members of the Military Police Force patrolled the area.

Seeing people entering from outside the village, the Anbu in the lead brought her people over to block their path!
Her voice was cool, and a mass of silky purple hair hung behind her head.
"We're the reconnaissance team from Squad Fourteen. We have urgent orders from Lord Third!" one of the Anbu said when he saw other Anbu blocking their way.
"Also, an important person has been injured and needs treatment as soon as possible!"
Uzuki Yugao glanced at the unconscious Boruto in an Anbu's arms.
