The newcomer was none other than Madara Uchiha.
It all began after Madara left the Land of Fire.
After saying goodbye to Hashirama, Madara did not head straight to Amegakure.
Instead, just as he had when he left Konoha before, he traveled across much of the Shinobi World.
First, naturally, he wanted to see whether the Shinobi World had changed since his death. The result, of course, left him sorely disappointed.
Second, he was searching for White Zetsu and Black Zetsu.
Unfortunately, Black Zetsu seemed to be deliberately avoiding him!
That put Madara in a very bad mood!

What Madara cared about most in his life was his pride.
When he had been brought back through Impure World Reincarnation, he had acted utterly unconcerned in front of everyone.
But deep down, he had already come to hate Black Zetsu!
If anyone who knew Madara well had been there, they would have known he was truly angry!
It was only natural. Madara had devoted almost half his life to the Infinite Tsukuyomi!
He had betrayed his village, abandoned his clan, broken with his closest friend, gone so far as to fake his death, spent over a decade awakening the Rinnegan, and even laid out every part of his plan for after his death...
Then, upon being reincarnated, he had been hit with a bombshell before he could even get his bearings.
Black Zetsu had deceived him. The Infinite Tsukuyomi was not the ultimate genjutsu for world peace, but a technique to resurrect a woman!
He had been made a complete fool of!
