Ch. 61Kumogakure's unequal treaty

Uchiha Fengyao defeated Kumogakure’s leaders and demanded all of its ninjutsu and 200 billion ryō in exchange for sparing the village. Kumogakure signed the debt treaty and was allowed to leave, but Feng Yao kept Yugito behind to take Killer B’s place.

  • Yugito tried to take responsibility for Kumogakure’s attack, but Feng Yao said she would take Killer B’s place because she had helped him break free of Feng Yao’s control.
  • A arrived with Killer B, Darui, and Kumogakure’s ninja, then offered his life in exchange for Feng Yao sparing the village.
  • Feng Yao threatened to destroy Kumogakure and demanded all its ninjutsu plus 200 billion ryō.

  • Feng Yao sent Shin and the others away, then confronted Black Zetsu about how he knew of the stone tablet.
  • Black Zetsu claimed to be Madara Uchiha’s will and explained how Madara awakened the Rinnegan, recruited Obito, and entrusted the eyes to Nagato.

Ōnoki, Sunagakure, and Kirigakure reacted to Uchiha Fengyao’s defeat of Kumogakure and Amegakure’s growing power, with Sunagakure choosing diplomacy and Kirigakure focusing on its internal problems. In Konoha, Obito claimed Fengyao planned to gather the Tailed Beasts and revive the Ten-Tails, while Hiruzen hesitated and Danzo urged him to act.

  • Kitsuchi agreed to carry out Ōnoki’s instructions as Ōnoki worried about protecting Iwagakure’s younger generation.

Ch. 73Yugito, Kumogakure's safety is in your hands

Yugito secretly contacted Kumogakure and reported that Amegakure had left her free and seemed to be following Kumogakure’s development model. After reading her report, A decided to have Yugito win over Uchiha Fengyao, leaving her flustered by his letter.

  • Yugito explored Amegakure, noticed its industrial development resembled Kumogakure’s, and concluded that Feng Yao admired Kumogakure.
