Chen Kerry was somewhat surprised by Su Can as well. After Lin Guangdong introduced him, Chen Kerry widened his alluring eyes and studied Su Can carefully. "Mr. Su? You're the one who founded the magazine?"
Su Can exchanged a glance with Lin Guangdong, whose eyes said that this fellow was simply like that.
Telling himself he could tolerate the man's slightly raised pinkie, his pretty-boy looks despite being nearly thirty, and those eyes scrutinizing him, Su Can nodded.
"You're so young!" Chen Kerry shook his head in disbelief, his shrill voice drawing looks from everyone around them.
"Yes, it was me." The fellow's exaggerated expressions made the veins in Su Can's forehead throb. He reminded himself to stay calm. How could he feel the urge to hit someone?
"Did you really win that three-hour dinner with Zhan Hua? Do you know what that means? It's simply a surprise! This is so exciting!" These things were no longer secrets to Su Can's professional managers. Chen Kerry had looked down on Su Can for starting a small, modest magazine, but his winning the dinner with Zhan Hua was already an indirect demonstration of this young behind-the-scenes boss's resources.
"Why else would I have asked you to come?" Su Can felt their conversation hardly resembled one between a superior and a subordinate. Perhaps this fellow was simply a little unconventional.
"Back to the magazine, Chen Kerry. I hear you have suggestions for revamping it. Let's hear them."
"If you don't mind, I'd prefer you call me Kerry Chen. Or Kerry."
Bang! Su Can slapped the table, then turned to the startled young Italian proprietor. "Get me a cup of coffee."
Turning back to Chen Kerry, Su Can made his voice as gentle as possible. "Then... Kerry, go on."
