Chapter 29: Keep pretending
Su Can and Lin Luoran kept in touch on and off. They spoke on the phone occasionally, and then she would disappear, resurfacing a few days later to say she had been busy with campus society or club activities, visiting someone's home, dropping by other universities, or strolling around the Bund or downtown Shanghai with friends. Her days were full and busy, typical university life. She was very busy, so she had no time to keep in touch with every assorted character.
When Lin Luoran mentioned going shopping and strolling around at night, Su Can really wanted to ask who she had been with, because it inevitably brought to mind her friends, among whom there was no shortage of people like Du Dawei and Wei Ding Ding.
