"Buddy, when are you getting here?" Li Han's voice rang out over the phone. He stood on Nanjing University's bustling main thoroughfare, making the call. Streams of bicycles whistled past him, stirring the long hair over his forehead amid the dancing light and shadows beneath the plane trees.
