Chapter 53: A fraud ring

Su Can accidentally bumped against the tiles, and Li Yinhe fell silent on the other side.

Everything happened in a flash. In that instant, Su Can composed his expression and immediately thought of a response. He stepped back and discreetly pressed the automatic flush valve. Water gushed noisily. This time, he made no attempt to hide his footsteps. As the flushing nearly finished, he hummed a few notes, opened the stall door, and walked out. Without concealing himself at all, he went to the sink and turned on the tap. In the mirror in front of him, he saw the door of Li Yinhe's stall behind him silently slide open a crack.

Su Can acted as though he had seen nothing. He washed his hands, turned, and left the restroom, leaving a small, slender figure visible from behind at the entrance.

Li Yinhe resumed his out-of-town Mandarin accent and raised the phone to his ear. "Nothing, boss. Just a kid in one of the stalls. Heh, a fairly big kid, though. There shouldn't be any problem."

Su Can slipped out of the restroom. Only then did a trace of panic break through the calm he had deliberately put on. His steps quickened a little, and his heart pounded. Although he had experienced rebirth, he was no incredibly formidable hero from a novel. At the possibility that crossed his mind, his heartbeat accelerated.
