After traveling for less than a day, the spaceship began slowing down, preparing to leave the Dark Universe.
The moment the spaceship emerged from the Dark Universe, a brilliantly colored planet appeared directly ahead. Its atmosphere shimmered with an ever-changing, multicolored halo, like a gemstone polished to perfection, suspended in the dark void.
Jiang Xian and Luo Feng soon noticed the planet before them.
"Oh, right, Jiang Xian." Babata's voice suddenly carried a hint of embarrassment. "My master left 932 Dry Witch Coins in the storage space back then. It's not much, but it should be enough for you two to register your identities and buy a few things on Qiu Long Star. Let me give them to you now."
As Babata spoke, a pile of Dry Witch Coins flew out of Luo Feng's storage space and into Jiang Xian's hands.
Jiang Xian took the Universe Coins and put them into his Space Ring. "All right. Thanks, Babata. Oh, and one more thing."
Jiang Xian leaned back in the pilot's chair, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly. "Babata, we might be new here, but there's no need to hide anything. Show this spaceship's true energy fluctuations. Let the people of Qiu Long Star know what sort of guests have arrived."
Babata no longer had the slightest doubt about anything Jiang Xian said. "Sure, Jiang Xian. No problem! If this spaceship's energy core releases just a little more power, the resulting energy fluctuations will definitely be enough for the control tower's equipment to identify it directly as an E-class spaceship."
"Then let's do that." Jiang Xian waved a hand.
Babata flickered, and a low hum sounded inside the spaceship. The energy patterns on the silver-white pyramid-shaped hull suddenly brightened, and an invisible, heavy pressure spread out in every direction from the spaceship's core. Although it carried no intent to attack, the fundamental level of that energy was high enough to make anyone who sensed it tremble with fear.
"Done." Babata clapped. "Our current energy intensity should exceed their detectors' detection range."
At Qiu Long Star's docking port, the routine traffic coordination was suddenly thrown into disarray.
On the control tower's scanning screen, a silver-white, pyramid-shaped spaceship was rapidly approaching from outer space. Its energy readings kept climbing, already far beyond the standard for a D-class spaceship.
"Attention! Attention! At the D-class docking port-a spaceship is approaching, with energy readings far beyond D-class. Suspected E-class!" The controller on duty's voice rose several pitches.
Everyone in the control tower was suddenly stunned. Once they recovered, the staff quickly reported it to their superiors.
The lord of Qiu Long Star looked to be around forty, with a burly build that made him a full two heads taller than an ordinary human.
His appearance was his most striking feature. His skin had a dark-gold metallic sheen, and two short, finely formed dark-gold dragon horns were faintly visible on either side of his forehead. They rose slightly from his hairline and curved backward in elegant arcs, making him look like a member of the Dragon-Man Race.
He was handling routine affairs in the administrative building when a subordinate suddenly rushed in without even knocking, his face deathly pale. "My lord! A Machine Race spacecraft suspected to be E-class has arrived at the D-class docking port! It's silver-white and pyramid-shaped, and its energy readings are far beyond D-class!"
The Optical Computer terminal in the lord of Qiu Long Star's hand fell onto his desk.
"W-what did you say?!" He shot to his feet. "An E-class Machine Race spacecraft? Are you sure?"
"Absolutely! The control tower has already confirmed the data! It's descending toward the port right now!"
"I'll go myself!" The lord of Qiu Long Star did not even bother using the door. He smashed straight through his office's floor-to-ceiling window and flew out, unleashing his full Domain Lord Level speed as he streaked toward the docking port. Only one thought filled his mind: An E-class Machine Race spacecraft. You couldn't find more than a few of those in the entire Black Dragon Mountain Empire. Anyone who could afford to fly one had to be, at the very least, a core figure in some major power! If I could establish a connection, I'd have it made.
The silver-white pyramid spaceship slowly descended onto a berth in the port. Even after landing, the heavy pressure unique to an E-class spaceship continued to envelop the entire area as though it were tangible, leaving everyone around it afraid to breathe loudly.
No one nearby dared take even half a step closer.
"What's a spaceship like that doing here on Qiu Long Star?"
"I've lived for hundreds of years, and this is my first time seeing an E-class spaceship with my own eyes..."
"Stop talking! Don't look up! Don't offend them!"
The hatch slowly opened. Jiang Xian stepped out first, with Luo Feng following behind.
Jiang Xian's expression was calm, his hands in his pockets as he casually surveyed his surroundings. Luo Feng seemed a little stiff, but he soon adjusted.
The port staff and the crew members watching were somewhat dumbfounded as they looked at the two young men. Were these the people flying an E-class spaceship? One was Star Level, the other Planetary Level. These two weren't even qualified to clean an E-class spaceship, were they?
Yet that spaceship was undeniably parked right there, its silver-white radiance stabbing at everyone's eyes.
Just then, a figure descended from the sky, as fast as lightning.
After landing and steadying himself, the lord of Qiu Long Star quickly straightened his robes and strode toward Jiang Xian and Luo Feng.
He had a burly frame and an imposing face, yet now he bent very low. The dark-gold horns that normally symbolized his noble status dipped slightly, his face was wreathed in a respectful smile, and his slit pupils were filled with cautious appraisal.
He walked up to Jiang Xian and Luo Feng and bowed deeply. "I am Qiu Yan, lord of Qiu Long Star. I was unaware of your arrival and failed to come out to welcome you. Please forgive me!"
Jiang Xian glanced at him casually and waved a hand. "It's fine. We were just passing through and happened to have a few things to take care of. No need to be nervous."
Only then did Qiu Yan dare straighten up. He cautiously looked Jiang Xian over, then glanced at Luo Feng behind him. Two young men, one Star Level and one Planetary Level. Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced again at the silver-white pyramid spaceship beside them. These two already owned an E-class spaceship despite being only Planetary Level and Star Level. Could they be core descendants of an Immortal family?
"May I ask your names, and where you are from?" Qiu Yan asked with an ingratiating smile.
Jiang Xian answered casually, "My name is Jiang Xian, and I'm an Outer Disciple of the Fenglingyueying Sect. This is my good friend Luo Feng. We've come to Qiu Long Star to take care of a few things."
The Fenglingyueying Sect? Qiu Yan's slit pupils contracted slightly, and a trace of bewilderment crossed his dark-gold face. He quickly ran through all the major powers in the Black Dragon Mountain Empire in his mind, but the name rang no bells.
Yet that very unfamiliarity made it all the more terrifying. What he feared most were precisely those powers he had never even heard of, yet possessed deep reserves.
"May I ask, sir, what does 'Outer Disciple' mean?" Qiu Yan asked curiously.
Jiang Xian gave him a brief introduction to the sect's structure.
After listening, Qiu Yan thought, If an Outer Disciple can fly an E-class Machine Race spacecraft, what class of spaceship do inner disciples and direct disciples fly? What about the elders? The sect master? Qiu Yan dared not think any further. He felt only a chill down his back.
