Meikyō explained that Obito had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan and persuaded Fugaku to support Dan Katō’s bid for Hokage, positioning Meikyō as a future successor. Rin awoke as the Three-Tails’ jinchūriki, and Meikyō took Obito aside to explain what had been sealed inside her.

• Meikyō identified the Kirigakure attackers as Mei Terumī, Hozuki Mangetsu, and Kisame Hoshigaki, and told Fugaku that Obito had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.
• Fugaku considered a Hokage bid, but Meikyō persuaded him to support Dan Katō’s candidacy and described his plan to become the Fifth Hokage afterward.

• Orochimaru’s potion restored much of Fugaku’s ocular power, and Meikyō found that it also strengthened his body.
• Orochimaru estimated the potion would cost six million ryo per dose, so Fugaku, Meikyō, and Obito pledged money toward improved production.
• At the docks, Dragon sent Sabo and Koala to join Meikyō’s voyage and delivered the Bird-Bird Fruit: Model Crow, which Meikyō said he would not eat.
• Meikyō asked Dragon for pirate targets, then sailed with Kuina, Sabo, and Koala to the Konomi Islands.
• In Poconoya Village, Meikyō pointed out Alvida and called her ugly, prompting her to order her pirates to attack.

Kuina, Sabo, and Koala defeated Alvida’s crew, then learned that the Arlong Pirates were oppressing nearby villagers and set out to confront them without Meikyō’s help. In Konoha, Meikyō secured clan support for Dan Katō’s Hokage bid while Danzo pressed Orochimaru about their experiments and hinted that he knew someone with the Yin Release they needed.

• Meikyō had Sabo and Kuina switch opponents during the fight, and Kuina defeated Alvida while Sabo and Koala handled the rest of her crew.
• Koala returned the villagers’ stolen property, and the villagers begged the group to save them from the Arlong Pirates.

Orochimaru revealed Danzo’s plan to attack Uchiha Fugaku, and Dan Katō’s allies plotted to turn the ambush against Danzo before the Hokage Election. Their plan trapped Danzo with Uchiha Meikyō, who revealed his disguise and began fighting him.

• Danzo told Orochimaru he intended to seize Uchiha Fugaku’s Mangekyō Sharingan, and Orochimaru leaked the plan to Dan Katō’s group.
• Dan Katō, Tsunade, Meikyō, Fugaku, and Orochimaru agreed to eliminate Danzo before the jonin vote, while Meikyō planned to keep Minato and Jiraiya from interfering.

• Uchiha Meikyō countered Shimura Danzō’s Wind Style with a Flame Dragon, and Danzō used Kagami’s Mangekyō Sharingan to mirror Meikyō’s attack and make the two dragons collide.

• Dan Katō escorted Torifu Akimichi, Utatane Koharu, and Mitokado Homura into the Akimichi compound as Torifu asserted that he deserved Koharu’s position.
• Uchiha Fugaku’s force attacked Root’s headquarters, sending Uchiha Obito and Might Duy through the Four-Point Black Formation barrier so Duy could break it from within.
• Tsunade and Orochimaru kept Jiraiya and the gathered Konoha Ninja at the Forest of Death until the Jonin vote, while they waited for Uchiha Meikyō to defeat Danzō.

• Meikyō escaped Danzo’s Reverse Four Symbols Seal, recovered Kagami Uchiha’s blind Mangekyō Sharingan, and ordered Danzo’s remains burned.
• At Root Headquarters, Shisui defeated and captured a Wood Style ninja, while Fugaku arranged for captured prisoners to be returned to their clans or reviewed later.

• Dan Katō secured 182 Jonin votes after the Third Hokage, the Sarutobi Clan, Utatane Koharu, Mitokado Homura, and the Shimura Clan cast their votes for him.
• Minato Namikaze thanked Kakashi, Kushina Uzumaki, and Jiraiya, then resolved to protect the village and his loved ones despite losing the election.
• Meikyō learned that Sabo, Kuina, and Koala had defeated the Arlong Pirates, and he sailed with them to Loguetown aboard a ship pulled by Moo Moo the Sea Cow.
• Meikyō read a newspaper report accusing him and his companions of destroying Suna Town, then suspected Captain Rat of using his Marine position to frame them.

Captain Rat tried to frame Meikyō and his companions as pirates to escape justice, but Meikyō exposed his crimes and killed him before leading the group through Reverse Mountain. Meikyō then left a Shadow Clone in the Pirate World and returned to Konoha, where the new leadership gathered for Minato Namikaze’s Hokage ceremony.

• Smoker rejected Captain Rat’s offer of one hundred million belly and left to investigate Marine Branch 16, while Tashigi stayed behind to keep Rat in Loguetown.
• Captain Rat used a newspaper to convince Tashigi that Kuina and her companions were pirates, then accused them publicly and tried to flee in the ensuing fight.
• Meikyō arrived, forced Captain Rat to reveal the truth under genjutsu, and killed him after Rat admitted his crimes.

• Minato Namikaze and Meikyō recommended Hizashi, while Root, the Intelligence Analysis Unit, the Education Department, and the Logistics Department offered no suitable opening.
• Meikyō proposed opening the Konoha Military Police Force to other clans and civilian ninja, while allowing Uchiha to seek positions in other departments through war merit.
