The Hope Convoy made camp beside a concrete road next to some farmland not far from a town.
The campsite was only about four or five kilometers from the town, and the farmland had long since fallen into disuse.
After all, the convoy had more than thirty ordinary survivors, and their daily needs all consumed supplies.
On top of that, the convoy needed to gather fuel.
So they planned to enter the town after daybreak tomorrow.
Although they could buy fuel in the Trading Section, gathering it themselves was naturally the most economical option if they could.
Night fell, and the Hope Convoy began preparing dinner. One survivor after another came to Niu Dagang's bus and left with supplies.
After Luo Fan handed over the bus he had originally lived in to Niu Dagang, Niu Dagang still hired someone to drive for him.
Also, since he was the only one living aboard, the bus had plenty of spare room, so Niu Dagang made some modifications.
He welded a steel plate into place, partitioning off about a third of the bus's interior, then added another door and rented that space to the ordinary survivors for storing supplies.
Nominally, he was renting it out, but in practice, Niu Dagang charged very little.
For these survivors, nothing could have been better than leaving their supplies aboard a vehicle and following the convoy empty-handed.
After doing the calculations, most of them stored their supplies on Niu Dagang's bus and came to collect them whenever they needed something.
This was Niu Dagang's personal choice, so Luo Fan and the others naturally had nothing to say about it.
Come to think of it, Niu Dagang was probably the only one suited to doing this, and the only one willing to do it.
