The familiar sensation came again. After Luo Fan absorbed the Swordsman Weird's Weird Crystal, his Petrification Bait skill incorporated a rule-type skill, becoming his fifth rule-type skill after Tricolor Contract, Sealing Trap, Mimicry, and God-Tier Enchanting.
The skill's name had not changed. It was still Petrification Bait.
Its effects, however, had changed considerably.
Petrification Bait: Throw out a piece of bait, forcing all nearby enemy targets to pounce on it and devour it, completely beyond their control. Devouring it petrifies the target, with the duration determined by the difference in sequence level between the two sides.
Previously, throwing out Petrification Bait exerted a powerful attraction on a target, but if the difference in sequence level was too great, the target could ignore the temptation.
The fifth-tier Weird he had hunted had been just such a case.
But now? The attraction had become completely irresistible.
Soft crowd control had become hard crowd control.
Most importantly, once he threw out this Petrification Bait, all enemy targets would pounce on it uncontrollably.
What did that mean? Single-target control had become group control.
Granted, only the target that ate the Petrification Bait would be petrified, but what if he could keep the bait dangling out of reach?
Wouldn't that allow him to keep the whole group controlled indefinitely?
That seemed like a pretty good idea.
And paired with Sealing Trap, this skill was simply seamless.
He could throw out some bait, then place a Sealing Trap along the path the enemy had to take.
Or he could simply throw the bait behind the Sealing Trap. Not only would that guarantee the enemy triggered the trap, but even if they broke free, wouldn't they keep charging at the bait instead of counterattacking?
The more he thought about it, the better these two rule-type
