"Hand An Xiaoran over." Luo Fan stared at Tomeko, his voice as cold as ice-tempered iron.
Tomeko looked at him in silence for a moment, then shook her head somewhat helplessly and sighed softly.
Her sigh drifted away on the night breeze. There was neither mockery nor hostility in her voice, only an indescribable regret. "Luo Fan, frankly, I don't want to fight you. Back on Fallen Sea Island, we were friends who fought side by side, in a manner of speaking. I don't want to attack you."
Then her tone shifted, turning abruptly firm. Every word was like a stake driven into the ground, leaving no room for negotiation. "But since you want to take An Xiaoran back, we'll have to fight first."
Luo Fan did not answer, but his expression remained unchanged.
He had expected this answer all along.
If Tomeko had truly been willing to return An Xiaoran to him, she would not have gone to such lengths to sneak into Peach Blossom Spring Town and abduct her, much less stayed here afterward to try to kill the Qipao Weird.
Her fixation on An Xiaoran had already deepened into an obsession that a few words could not resolve.
Since reason would not get through to her, he would let his gun do the talking.
Tomeko did not give Luo Fan another chance to strike first.
Her gaze swept over the Weird Gun in Luo Fan's hand. The milky-white patterns on its frame still shone dazzlingly beneath the streetlights, and waves of sunlight-like suppressive power washed over her senses.
Even just standing there with that gun pointed at her, she could feel a large portion of her strength being forcibly suppressed. The sixth-tier power she could bring to bear now probably fell short of even peak fifth tier.
