Luo Fan stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, staring at the ship slowly leaving the harbor out on the distant sea, momentarily dazed!
It was a cruise ship, not particularly large, but certainly not small either!
Its hull looked fairly new, nothing like the rust-covered abandoned freighters of the apocalypse!
Morning light spilled over the deck, where he could faintly make out several figures moving around!
The bow cleaved through the waves, trailing a long white wake as it slowly headed out to sea!
Luo Fan rubbed his eyes, confirming that he had not seen things!
Heading out to sea? To fish?
People were still going out to sea in the Weird Apocalypse?
He found that very surprising!
Nearly two years had passed since the apocalypse began. Weird and fierce beasts were everywhere on land, and survivors were already giving everything they had just to stay alive. Going out to sea was something he had almost never considered!
Were there no Weird or fierce beasts at sea?
Of course there were, and they might be even more dangerous than those on land!
Yet the ship before him sailed out without a care. The people on deck looked quite composed, nothing like people driven into a corner!
Luo Fan watched the ship for a good while. Although curious, he had no intention of going over!
He had come to find a site for building a teleportation array, not to socialize!
Whatever they were doing out at sea had little to do with him!
He withdrew his gaze, patted Black Bird, who was perched on the balcony railing, and pointed at the receding cruise ship. "Keep an eye out. If that ship comes back, remember to wake me!"
Black Bird tilted its head and gave a cry, which counted as agreement!
