Ao Ding traveled with Sun Chen, rebuilt his cultivation, and learned spells and methods to prepare for Sun Chen’s Liberation by Violence. When the Nethermoon Wolf King and its forces attacked the tomb, Ao Ding fought them with his new curse arts, but his power ran out as Oil Cauldron Hell spread beyond his control.

• Ao Ding left the Seven Spirits Sect with Sun Chen, who taught him cultivation methods and brought him through the Yellow Springs to the Jiaxia Kingdom.
• Ao Ding helped the group defeat the Golden-Peng Pheasant, reached the Mystic Gang realm beneath the Xuanjia Immortal Tree, and restored his body with the Ninefold Essence Divine Water.
• Ao Ding and Sun Chen traveled to Ling City, where Sun Chen helped Lin Bai prepare his father for Corpse Liberation and brought Ao Ding into the Azure Pool Immortal Market.
• Ao Ding and Sun Chen confronted Old Daoist Qi over his grievance against the Wang Household, then Sun Chen sent Lu Xiu toward the Heavenly Stone Sect and took Ao Ding to Qianling Mountain.
• Ao Ding studied cultivation arts and built the Cloud Aspect Primordial Truth Mirror, using it to organize methods and master new spells while preparing to protect Sun Chen during his Liberation by Violence.
• When the full moon came, Sun Chen gave Ao Ding the Qianling Mountain-Calming Pearl and Water-Moon Robe, then fought the Nethermoon Wolf King and six demon ghosts as Ao Ding sealed the tomb.
• Ao Ding attacked the wolves with curse-bearing wooden spears and Golden Spear Curse, then unleashed Oil Cauldron Hell through Quenched Feather Golden Paper when his weapons and power began to fail.
• The wolf ghosts fled from the multiplying hell curse, but Ao Ding exhausted his magical power and could no longer control its spread.

Ao Ding turned the Oil Cauldron Hell into a netherworld business, then traveled through the human world helping spirits and mortals while advancing his cultivation. The stretch ends with Ao Ding staying at the Bright Yang Immortal Estate and preparing to cultivate his right eye with Hundred-Flower Dew.

• Ao Ding sealed the netherworld passage, refined wolf-soul pearls, and made a trade agreement with Green-Eyed Ghost that led to the opening of Hell Eatery.
• After strengthening his cultivation, Ao Ding left Qianling Mountain and briefly returned to the Seven Spirits Sect, where Wang Weilong explained the sect’s troubles and Luo Qiushui pursued the Seven Luminaries Scripture.
• Ao Ding helped Ning Zhi learn that Huang Lang was a plant spirit who had returned to his original form, then arranged for the pair to meet and say goodbye before giving Ning Zhi a cultivation scripture.
• Ao Ding traveled through the Mystic Jia Kingdom, advanced his House-Building Technique and Five Qis Returning to the Origin Glazed Art, and helped villagers while meeting Liu Zhongnan on his way to confront a disaster.
• Ao Ding helped He Xiao pursue Tu Qing’er by arranging a reading contest with White Great King, then explored the Plague-Dispelling Dao’s immortal abode with Wen Dan and recovered its legacy.
• Green-Eyed Ghost helped persuade the Tu Household to accept He Xiao and Tu Qing’er’s marriage, while Ao Ding entrusted Lin Bai’s family with the cave abode and sought Duan Lingxiao’s advice about karma and cultivation.
• Duan Lingxiao guided Ao Ding in refining a crimson Dao seed and took him toward Cang Xuanzi’s residence, where Ao Ding learned Cang Xuanzi was burning it to destroy a demon snake.
• At the Bright Yang Immortal Estate, Ao Ding studied the library’s first-floor texts, found the Heavenly Eye Thousand-Eyes Register, and asked Green-Eyed Ghost to arrange Hundred-Flower Dew for his right-eye cultivation.
