"Boss! Listen, I did something really good today!"
Konohamaru appeared out of nowhere with Moegi and Udon, jumped in front of Naruto, and spoke to him.
"Oh? Let's hear it."
It was Sunday, and Team 7 had no plans that day, so everyone had simply gone home to spend time with their families. With some free time on his hands, Naruto naturally came out to stroll around the village.
The atmosphere in the village was much better now than when Naruto was little. Shop owners all had to greet him with smiles.
Shop owners: Heh, guess what happened to the shops that didn't welcome him with a smile?
Well, those shops were either shut down by the Uchiha Clan's Military Police Force, or, after badmouthing Naruto one day, found an enormous tree outside their storefront the next.
The kind that took two days to saw through.
Besides, word of Naruto's strength had long since spread throughout the village. These days, he could do whatever he wanted.
Still, Naruto was happy to run into his little follower on the street, especially when he heard that Konohamaru had done something really good.
"We were planning to soak at the hot springs today. We'd arranged to go with a few classmates."
Konohamaru folded his arms, nodding as he spoke, looking thoroughly pleased with himself.
"Then we saw someone sneaking around behind the women's hot spring. He had his head pressed right against the wall."
Beside him, Udon and Moegi imitated Jiraiya's movements at the time.
"When I saw that, I thought, how could this be allowed? How could anyone do something so shameful in broad daylight, under a clear sky? So I went over and beat him."
Having finished, Konohamaru chuckled.
"Oh, impressive! That's my little follower."
Naruto generously gave Konohamaru a thumbs-up.
