Karin looked at the wall of masks. After carefully sensing them with the Mind's Eye of the Kagura, she detected a great deal of chakra in one of them.
It felt a lot like the Kurama inside her big brother.
"There's a trace of Nine-Tails chakra inside."
Jiraiya nodded.
"It seems Minato split the Nine-Tails in two back then, and one half was sealed inside the Shinigami's stomach along with him."
"The other half is the one inside Naruto's belly now."
Karin nodded, took down the mask, and handed it to Jiraiya.
"All right, let's go. We shouldn't disturb your ancestors any longer."
Jiraiya put the mask away, then turned to leave with Karin. After a few steps, however, he realized she hadn't turned around.
A series of clunks came from behind him.
Looking back, he saw Karin holding a sack, taking the Masks of the Shinigami off the wall one by one and putting them inside.
At the same time, she left none of the nearby documents and books behind, putting those into the sack as well.
Then, under Jiraiya's shocked gaze, she hoisted the bulging sack onto her back and turned to meet his eyes.
"Huh? What's wrong?"
Karin looked at the dumbfounded Jiraiya and asked curiously.
