Atop Root's ruins, Danzo interlaced all ten fingers and rested his mouth against his clasped hands, his one exposed eye fixed on his hard-working subordinates.
Suddenly, a voice extremely familiar to Danzo rang out.
"Danzo, what the hell have you done?!"
No sooner had the words fallen than Sarutobi arrived in battle gear, bringing his number-one subordinate, Konoha's white-haired ninja, his poached number-two subordinate Tenzo, and a contingent of ANBU members.
Looking at the devastation that had overtaken the place where he once served, Tenzo could not help feeling a little "sad."
But amid his sadness, he spotted Lord Danzo's desk, still standing strong.
It's you! The indestructible desk!
As expected of the desk I specially made for Lord Danzo. Not a scratch on it.
On closer inspection, though, a faint palm print was still visible.
"Pfft."
Tenzo immediately covered his mouth.
Beside him, the ~~incubus~~ Anbu Captain Kakashi thoughtfully patted Tenzo's back. What was going on? Why had Tenzo suddenly laughed?
Tenzo: I'm an ANBU elite who underwent Root's rigorous training! Normally, I would never break into laughter. Unless... I couldn't help it.
"Cough, cough, cough. It's nothing. I just choked."
Kakashi was a little puzzled. Choked? On what?
Tenzo had not drunk any water. Had he choked on his own saliva?
Kakashi gave Tenzo a strange look. A grown man, still choking on his own saliva. He really did make people worry.
Tenzo: You wouldn't understand what makes this so satisfying. ヾ(◍°∇°◍)ﾉﾞ
Hehe, presumably, with such a sturdy desk, Lord Danzo won't take his anger out on the other Root members.
Good grief, I really do look out for my old comrades.
Otsu, whose workload Danzo had increased after hurting his hand pounding the desk and who was still clearing the ruins, would like to say: this sucked.
