High in the sky, energy repeatedly flashed as it collided and annihilated, playing a symphony of destruction. For a time, all of Konoha could see the multicolored lights overhead.
"Are you kidding me?"
Sensing the fluctuations, Kakashi sat up on the sofa at home.
Yugito Nii was packing her things in Kumogakure, preparing for their approaching wedding, so she was not in Konoha.
He activated Kamui and appeared on his rooftop, his scarlet Mangekyō watching the sky gravely.
"Naruto and Sasuke, and one unfamiliar presence."
Kakashi murmured, then his figure turned intangible again as he headed toward ANBU headquarters.

Hayate and Yugao had already come out with all the ANBU members.
"Quick, evacuate the civilians! Take them to the underground security base!"
ANBU members flashed past one after another, repeatedly using the Body Flicker Technique as they scattered throughout Konoha.
Konoha's broadcasting station also began sounding a deafening alarm.
The major shinobi clans and all the shinobi began evacuating the crowds, directing people underground to keep them from being caught in the shock waves of the battle overhead.
Although a barrier protected them, under the intense fighting between Kunjiki, Naruto, and Sasuke, its effect was present but limited.
For their safety, underground was the most reassuring place to be.
Watching Hayate, Yugao, and the others directing the ANBU, a trace of gratification flashed through Kakashi's eyes.
"Hayate, do you know exactly what's going on?"
Kakashi asked Hayate.
"Kakashi? The Ōtsutsuki have attacked. The Second just came to tell us to evacuate the crowds."
Hayate spoke to Kakashi.
"There was a massive explosion at the Research Institute. It probably started there."
"The Second told us not to get involved. The enemy's strength is far beyond what we can handle."
After finishing, Hayate did not wait for Kakashi's response
