After the Shinobi World Conference, Danzo rejected Tobirama's proposal to enter another Shinobi World, warning that they could turn its people into enemies. The argument escalated into a heated clash between Danzo and Tobirama, interrupted by a tremendous crash from the door.

A researcher reported that Uchiha Shunji’s eye had changed, and Orochimaru discovered it had connected to the other world through a White Zetsu and Danzo’s Wave Seed. Takahashi Yū spoke with Old Danzo, who revealed that the Fourth Shinobi World War had already begun and that he was the one the Allied Shinobi Forces were fighting.

• An ANBU member reported a rebellion plot in the Land of Snow, and Sakumo ordered a squad to deal with it while advising Takahashi Yū to keep the former Daimyō alive.
• Danzo persuaded the assembly to postpone discussing the New World and focus on other threats, including the moon’s descendants, the Tenseigan, Isshiki, and Black Zetsu.
• A researcher announced that Uchiha Shunji’s eye had changed, prompting Orochimaru and Hiruko to rush back to the Laboratory.

• Orochimaru used Impure World Reincarnation to revive Mito Uzumaki, who asked what year it was and learned that it was the first year of the Shinobi World.
• Three days later, Tobirama brought Mito and members of the Sealing Squad to the emptied city of Rōran, where she sensed the Dragon Vein beneath the royal palace.
