Ch. 582Demon Emperor

Fang Yue found a method to break the Demon Seeds and learned that the Shadow Demon Society's Venerable was serving the Demon Emperor, whose resurrection depended on the Demonic Tide. After the defenders repelled the demons, Fang Yue prepared a team to enter the Spatial Rift and stop the Demon Emperor, and the group arrived at its entrance.

  • Protector Chen's hidden warriors destroyed the demon medicine shipment, weakening the demons, and Old Man Qingfeng led the defenders in a counterattack as the Demon Seeds began to backlash.
  • Fang Yue fought through the guardians and monsters in the Far North ruin, overcame the barrier around an ancient book, and learned how to break the Demon Seeds and cultivate the Spirit Wind Body Tempering Art.
  • Fang Yue discovered the Demon Emperor's history and learned that the Venerable was his pawn and that the Demon Emperor's seal lay within a dangerous Spatial Rift.
  • Fang Yue returned to the Human Realm, told Old Man Qingfeng and Protector Chen what he had learned, and gathered the realm's experts to prepare for the Spatial Rift.
  • Fang Yue and the experts trained, forged Spatial Talismans, and collected supplies before traveling to the Spatial Rift's entrance.

Ch. 583Attack

Fang Yue led the experts through the Spatial Rifts, defeated a massive Magic Beast by targeting its throat, and reached the Demon Emperor’s underground cavern. The group began attacking the Demon Emperor, cracking its black shield, but the battle remained unresolved.

  • Fang Yue guided everyone through the Spatial Rifts and led them in defeating a flame-spewing Magic Beast after identifying its throat as a weakness.
  • Fang Yue directed the group through a mist filled with bat-like creatures, and they emerged in a Stone Chamber where they activated an Altar and opened a passage underground.
  • Fang Yue and the experts entered a cavern and found the Demon Emperor floating at its center.
  • Fang Yue drew the Demon Emperor’s attention while the experts attacked its black shield until cracks appeared.
  • Fang Yue charged at the Demon Emperor again, aiming his sword at its heart.

Ch. 584Investigation

Fang Yue and the experts pursued the Demon Emperor into a hidden dimensional space and appeared to destroy it, then returned to Great Wei. Fang Yue suspected the Demon Emperor had survived, and reports of new demonic activity sent him toward another investigation.

  • Fang Yue and the experts tracked the escaped Demon Emperor through the Spatial Rifts into a dangerous dimensional space.
  • Fang Yue and the experts fought through the monsters and defeated the Demon Emperor beside a black Altar, but a wisp of Black Mist possessed a young Tianshui Sect disciple.
  • The possessed disciple slipped away to a secluded valley and used demonic arts to gather dark power as Fang Yue and the others returned to the Human Realm.
  • Fang Yue returned to the Imperial Capital, where Zhu Linlang welcomed him; he privately suspected the Demon Emperor had survived and proposed searching Great Wei for it.
  • After Zhu Linlang received word of disappearances and an eerie aura near the border, Fang Yue prepared to investigate, and the Diyan Gate elder reported intense Demonic Energy near the valley they had passed on their return.

Ch. 585Forging

Fang Yue drove off the Demon Emperor in a valley, then organized the sects and Great Wei’s border forces to counter the lingering threat. After repelling a demonic assault, he began developing repeating crossbows so ordinary soldiers could better fight the demons.

  • Fang Yue confronted the Demon Emperor, who was possessing a Tianshui Sect disciple, but it escaped into the black mist after experts from the major sects joined the fight.
  • Fang Yue ordered the valley sealed, called for searches for the Demon Emperor, and returned to the Imperial Capital of Great Wei to coordinate defenses against both the Demon Emperor and the demons at the border.
  • Fang Yue led reinforcements to the border, strengthened the defensive line with formations, and helped repel a day-long demonic assault.
  • Fang Yue gathered craftsmen and forging disciples to design repeating crossbows with Thousand-Year Ironwood bow arms, spirit crystals, Cold Iron bolts, and a corrosive medicinal coating.
  • A craftsman suggested improving the crossbow’s firing mechanism for rapid shots, and Fang Yue approved the idea and ordered the first batch forged quickly.
