One female Sequence Transcendent opened her eyes to see a skeletal face covered in rotting flesh pressing down on top of her.
It was so close that she could smell its putrid stench.
The skeletal face opened its mouth, black drool dripping in strings as it lowered its head to bite.
She could even see scraps of someone's flesh and blood caught between its teeth.
She immediately screamed and kicked it!
Bang!
The skeleton flew away from her kick, hit the ground, and broke into several pieces.
But those broken bones were still moving, still crawling toward her.
She followed up with a barrage of Ice Spikes, waving both hands repeatedly. The spikes whistled out and pinned the broken bones to the ground.
Elsewhere, a man opened his eyes and immediately felt excruciating pain.
The pain came from his feet, the kind that pierced deep into the marrow.
He looked down again...
"Fuck!"
He was lying flat, and both his feet had already been gnawed clean.
They had not merely been bitten, but gnawed clean.
Not a scrap of flesh remained.
Only two stark white leg bones were left, with clear tooth marks on them.
He could even see the cross sections of his lower leg bones, the marrow inside sucked dry.
Several evil spirits were still crouched beside his feet, gnawing their way up his lower legs.
Their teeth scraped against the bone lining with an unbearably grating sound.
Furious, he raised a fist the size of a cooking pot and smashed it down on the evil spirits frantically devouring his feet!
Bang!
Skulls exploded.
Bone fragments scattered.
One punch burst several skulls.
He followed with another punch, then a second and a third, smashing those evil spirits into bone shards.
But new skeletons crawled out of the soil
