On an island floating in the sky,
Golden Lion kept pounding the throne beneath him.
"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!!"
The ship's wheel atop his head bobbed up and down with his mood!
"He's my rival, Gol D. Roger!!"

"Is this some kind of joke?!"
A sharp gleam flashed through Golden Lion's eyes.
"Could the Navy be trying to do something with Roger's reputation?"
"No! I have to get to the bottom of this!"
With that, Golden Lion steered the island toward Marineford!
Meanwhile, inside Marineford,
Xiu had his dead-fish eyes wide open,
giving Sengoku a death stare.
"Xiu, stop staring at me."
"I told you, I've already submitted your promotion report!"

Xiu slammed a hand against the chair beneath him.
"That's exactly it! Why promote me?!"
As a commodore, he could still coast along,
and he usually didn't have many assignments.
But Sengoku actually fucking wanted to promote him to rear admiral!
It had only been a little over a month, right?!
And he was already getting promoted to rear admiral?
Were promotions really that casual around here?

"I know you don't believe it, but you've done quite a lot."
"Let me list it for you."
"You captured a major pirate with a bounty of a hundred million Beli."
"And killed a few of his underlings with bounties in the tens of millions of Beli along the way."
"You fought Whitebeard to a draw."
"And, of course, most importantly, you arrested Roger!"
"That alone is enough to get you promoted!"
Xiu lost it on the spot.
"I told you, Roger turned himself in! Turned himself in! Do you understand?!"
Sengoku automatically ignored Xiu's roar.
"Actually, I wanted to report directly to the Five Elders and have you promoted to admiral."
The corner of Xiu's mouth twitched. "So I'm supposed to thank you, then?"
Sengoku smiled. "No need, though I wouldn't refuse."

How did I never notice Sengoku was this shameless?!
In the end, Xiu reluctantly accepted the outcome.
He had only just walked out of the office
when he heard a furious roar.
"Sengoku!!! Where is Roger?!"
Xiu's brows immediately drew together.
He looked up toward the voice.
Whoa, an island was slowly floating toward the sky above Marineford!
Bang! The office door behind him burst open.
Sengoku stood beside Xiu, his face icy.
"That flying bastard!!"
At the same time, alarms blared throughout Marineford!!
"Enemy attack!! Enemy attack!"
Every Navy soldier saw the island overhead!
They sprang into action!
"This ability-is it that flying pirate?"
Xiu looked at Sengoku beside him.
The latter nodded gravely.
"That's right. With a bounty of hundreds of millions of Beli! The 'Flying Pirate'-Golden Lion!"
Xiu curled his lip.
"Perfect. I'm in a really bad mood right now!!"
"Old man, leave him to me!"
Sengoku froze at that. "Xiu, are you confident?"
"A mere pirate actually dares to invade Marineford. He's asking to die!"
Xiu absolutely would not allow the place where he slacked off to fall!
"Don't push yourself, Xiu. Just keep him occupied!"
"Garp and I will come help you in a bit!"
Xiu flicked his cape. "No need. I'm enough on my own!"
Whoosh! Shunpo!
With that, Xiu shot into the sky!
Golden Lion was standing on the island with his arms folded
when a figure abruptly appeared before his eyes!
Golden Lion's gaze sharpened.
So fast!
"Kid, who are you?"
Xiu's face was frighteningly impassive.
"The man who's going to kill you..."
Golden Lion froze for a moment at that, then burst into wild, mocking laughter.
"Hahahahaha!! Kid!!"
"You want to kill me? You're ten thousand years too early!!!"
Xiu couldn't be bothered to respond to Golden Lion.
He instantly drew Ryūjin Jakka!
He swung a slash at Golden Lion!
"Sword pressure!"
"What?!"
Feeling the power coming from the slash,
Golden Lion actually sensed danger!
"Slash wave!"
He instantly drew Oto from his waist!
A massive wave of sword energy blasted toward the sword pressure!
Bang!
Their attacks canceled each other out!
"Hmph, nothing special!"
Even as Golden Lion spoke,
Xiu had already used Shunpo to reach his side!
"I... am in a really bad mood right now!!!!"
"Ikkotsu!!"
Boom!
His right fist slammed into Golden Lion's abdomen!
A powerful force shot straight through his body!
Golden Lion's body hurtled toward the ground like a cannonball!
Bang!
A deep crater was instantly blasted into Marineford!
