Purge the East Blue!
Since Sengoku had assigned the mission,
three days had already passed.
At that moment, Xiu was lounging lazily on the warship's deck,
gazing at the sky and lamenting his life of toil.
He had thought he could finally slack off a little,
but first, his appointment as Vice Admiral had been approved in no time.
Then Sengoku's mission had followed right on its heels...
"Damn that old man... He won't give me any time off at all."
"This is my first damn relationship in two lifetimes! Fuck!"
Having only just gotten into a relationship, Xiu was indescribably frustrated...
He had even wondered whether he could bring Gion along,
only to be shut down by Sengoku's icy words:
"You two are the same rank now. You can't operate together."
That was right. Thanks to Xiu,
Gion had been promoted to Vice Admiral...
In the end, if Gion hadn't given him
a few little perks,
Xiu might really have cut Sengoku down...
But as he recalled how adorable Gion had looked,
a sweet smile spread across Xiu's face.
"So this is love~"
Just then, a clear voice rang out:
"Vice Admiral Xiu, are you thinking about Vice Admiral Gion again? Hina is unhappy."
The corner of Xiu's mouth twitched.
"Hina, what are you unhappy about...?"
"Hmph... Vice Admiral Xiu, Loguetown is just ahead."
"I know, I know, Hina..."
That was right. Xiu's adjutant was none other than
Hina, who had just graduated from the Elite Class...
He was originally supposed to have a Captain as his adjutant,
but Hina was no weaker than those ordinary Captains.
So Xiu hadn't objected to Sengoku's arrangement.
But as it turned out...
Xiu should have objected back then!
It wasn't that Hina was bad. She was too good...
No matter how clueless Xiu was about romance,
even he could see that Hina liked him.
But he already had someone back home,
and Xiu had no plans to pursue Hina for the time being...
Yet he couldn't stop her from making advances herself...
Shaking his head, he put all those jumbled thoughts
out of his mind.
Xiu looked toward the town ahead.
"Loguetown..."
"The town of beginnings and endings."
"Well... it doesn't have that name yet..."
Beside him, Hina spoke up:
"Vice Admiral Xiu, although the East Blue is known as
the weakest of the four seas,
please be sure not to let your guard down."
Xiu waved a hand and leaned straight back.
"Relax. Now that I'm here,
the East Blue finally has someone to uphold justice!"
Then he asked:
"Where are the strongest pirates in the East Blue right now?"
"Vice Admiral Xiu, they're the Azure Ocean Pirates."
Hina thought for a moment before continuing:
"According to our intelligence, they're in Loguetown!"
Xiu nodded slightly. "Pass the order down. There's no need to dock."
Hina froze. "Huh? Why, Vice Admiral Xiu?"
Xiu shrugged.
"Once we've quickly dealt with this scum,
we'll head to the next place."
Hina understood. "Understood, Vice Admiral Xiu."
Inside a tavern in Loguetown,
Kazu, captain of the Azure Ocean Pirates,
was still drinking fine wine with gusto.
"As expected of the wine from the Pirate King's hometown..."
The short Kazu smacked his lips and sighed in appreciation.
Just then, one of his men
shoved the tavern doors open.
"Captain Kazu! Bad news!
There are Marines near Loguetown!"
Kazu said dismissively, "So what if there are?
The Marines in the East Blue are weak as hell, okay?
Would I be scared of them? What a joke!"
His subordinate said in a trembling voice:
"N-no, Lord Kazu,
it's... it's a Vice Admiral from Headquarters!!"
Pfft!
The fine wine Kazu had just drunk
came spraying out of his mouth.
But he still pretended to be calm as he said:
"Th-that's nothing to be afraid of either!
They're all just trash Marines!"
Unable to take it anymore, his subordinate roared:
"Lord Kazu, he's Marine Vice Admiral Era Xiu!"
Kazu: "!!!"
Xiu's name
had long since spread throughout the four seas.
"Can you fucking say it all in one go next time?!"
Kazu no longer had any thought to spare for the wine.
He got up, about to flee outside.
Just then, a slightly lazy voice rang out:
"Well, well, so here you are... Kazu?"
"You really made me look all over..."
Still seething, Kazu didn't even look to see who had arrived.
He simply roared:
"Who's playing tricks? Get out here!!"
Tap, tap, tap...
Footsteps drew closer from afar,
entering the tavern.
The newcomer wore a black pinstriped suit
with a white cape draped over his shoulders.
"Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral, Era Xiu."
Kazu: "!!!"
Everyone: "!!!"
Since he had already found his target,
Xiu couldn't be bothered to waste any more words.
They were merely pirates worth tens of millions of Beli.
He elegantly raised
his right hand, clad in a dark red glove.
"Repent for your sins in hell..."
"Fire Huan."
Snap!
The crisp snap of his fingers reached everyone's ears.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
In an instant, flames abruptly appeared on everyone's bodies!
"What is this?!"
"Why am I on fire?!"
"Aaaah!! No!! No!!"
"I was wrong!! Mr. Marine! I was wro-"
In just a few seconds,
the extreme heat melted
every pirate, including Kazu!
A faint smile played at the corners of Xiu's mouth.
"Yeah, this move really is pretty cool!"
