Background / History
Stone Clan Survivor
Shi Huang descended from a Stone Clan branch whose ancestor had once competed for the clan’s resources and the chance to become a Dou Di. After winning that struggle, the reigning Stone Emperor exterminated his former competitors and their descendants. Shi Huang escaped under his parents’ protection and was later found unconscious in the mountains at eight years old 17 18.
Xiao Ce’s Dragon Phoenix incarnation rescued him and taught him cultivation methods and Dou Techniques. Their shared experiences as orphans hunted by powerful clans brought them close. After Shi Huang improved his rescuer’s devouring art, the Dragon Phoenix jokingly called him his son. Shi Huang replied that he regarded him as an elder brother, and the two formally became sworn brothers 18.
Hunting and the Heavenly Eagle Clan
The pair gathered resources throughout the Ten Thousand Great Mountains: Shi Huang collected natural treasures while the Dragon Phoenix devoured magical beasts. Their extensive hunting attracted the Heavenly Eagle Clan, which recognized the Dragon Phoenix as the hybrid wanted by the Heavenly Phoenix Clan 18.
Shi Huang used his Breath-Concealing Technique to scout targets for counterattacks. Together, they killed thirteen sixth-rank Heavenly Eagles and severely wounded three seventh-rank Heavenly Eagles. After seclusion, the Dragon Phoenix insisted that they leave the region despite Shi Huang’s reluctance. They later learned that the Heavenly Eagle chief had been waiting to ambush them 18.
Capture and Loss of His Bloodline
When the Dragon Phoenix secretly departed to investigate a rumored Dragon Phoenix Origin Fruit, Shi Huang anticipated his decision and waited along the route. He scouted the secret realm, but the presence of Three-Star Dou Sheng guardians from both the Heavenly Phoenix and Ancient Void Dragon clans forced them to withdraw 19.
Shi Huang subsequently returned alone to obtain the fruit and was captured by the Heavenly Phoenix Clan, which traded him to the Stone Clan. The Stone Clan stripped away his entire bloodline, reducing him to low-star Dou Zun. The Dragon Phoenix secured help from his Ancient Void Dragon grandfather, who spent resources to recover Shi Huang while his grandson began the dangerous evolution using the fruit 19.
After his rescue, Shi Huang left the Ancient Void Dragon Clan and cultivated independently. Reunited with his sworn brother in Year 107, he declined an invitation to grow stronger using the clan’s resources, believing that outside trials were necessary to reach the summit 20.
Founding the Huang Clan
Shi Huang continued pursuing his own path even after receiving recognition from a Dou Di inheritance. Rather than accept it completely and become a Dou Di immediately, he refused to follow its previous owner’s path in full. He aspired to rival the first Stone Emperor, establish an enduring Emperor Clan, and preserve statues of himself and his sworn brother 23.
By Year 178, he had become a Dou Di, created the Huang small world, and founded the Huang Clan. He brought the Dragon Phoenix’s surviving heart there after the Stone Emperor’s self-destruction had destroyed the rest of his brother’s body. Statues of both brothers stood at the center of the realm 24.
Shi Huang gathered resources to save him and, in Year 180, attempted to offer half his Di essence. The Dragon Phoenix stopped him. When his brother’s consciousness finally faded in Year 185, Shi Huang placed the heart inside the Dragon Phoenix statue and kowtowed three times 24.
Personality
Shi Huang is exceptionally quick to learn and willing to investigate flaws even in techniques created by his teacher. As a child, he noticed the energy wasted by the Dragon Phoenix’s devouring art, requested permission to study it, and improved its efficiency. He also openly admitted that he had used that research to develop his own cultivation method 18.
Independence defines his later cultivation choices. He rejected reliance on the Ancient Void Dragon Clan’s resources and declined a complete Dou Di inheritance rather than surrender his own path. He even credited the loss of his inherited bloodline with helping him reach Dou Sheng 20 23.
His loyalty to his sworn brother could outweigh caution. He returned alone for the guarded Dragon Phoenix Origin Fruit and later tried to sacrifice half his Di essence to save him. Although he initially rejected being treated as a son, he eventually regarded the Dragon Phoenix as both an elder brother and a father figure 18 19 24.
Abilities & Skills
Breath-Concealing Technique
Shi Huang created a secret art that suppresses his aura until it is almost nonexistent 18.
- Reconnaissance: Allowed him to locate Heavenly Eagle targets while remaining concealed 18.
- Concealment against stronger opponents: At Two-Star Dou Sheng, he approached his Eight-Star Dou Sheng brother closely before being detected 20.
- Hidden cultivation: The later assessment describes it as capable of concealing a low-star Dou Sheng’s aura from a late Nine-Star Dou Sheng at a distance, while still hiding the user’s cultivation at close range 26.
- Learning restriction: The Dragon Phoenix initially could not learn it in beast form; assuming human form was a prerequisite 18.
- Limits: It did not prevent Shi Huang’s capture in the heavily guarded Origin Fruit secret realm 19.
The Dragon Phoenix later mastered the technique and used it to ambush the Ancient Heavenly Snake King. Xiao Ce ultimately selected it as one of his deployment rewards 23 26.
Cultivation Method Development
Shi Huang improved the Dragon Phoenix’s self-created devouring secret art and developed a separate cultivation method from its principles 18.
- Faster digestion: His revision doubled the Dragon Phoenix’s digestion speed and improved energy conversion 18.
- Personal cultivation: His own method substantially increased the speed at which he digested resources, accelerating his advancement 18.
- Lasting contribution: The improved art remained crucial when the Dragon Phoenix digested multiple Dou Sheng opponents and advanced to Eight-Star Dou Sheng 20.

- Preserved brotherhood: The Huang Clan continued honoring the Dragon Phoenix as Huang Di’s elder brother, maintained his statue, and remained allied with the Ancient Void Dragon Clan 25.
