Ono Kei read it aloud, word by word.
"Kill a member who has not unlocked the Gene Lock: 2,000 Reward Points and a C-rank Side Quest."
"Kill a member who has unlocked the Gene Lock: 7,000 Reward Points and a B-rank Side Quest."
"Wipe out every member of the opposing team: every member of your team receives one C-rank Side Quest."
"What can these Side Quests be used for? What can one thousand Reward Points buy?"
Ono Kei turned her gaze toward Meng Yao, the only veteran on the ship.
Meng Yao's lips twitched. She had not heard a word of Ono Kei's muttering.
Her brows were tightly furrowed. When she tried to take a step, she nearly toppled over!
The five newcomers were stunned!
They were not idiots!
If a veteran like Meng Yao was scared senseless, then this Team Battle definitely would not be simple!
"Three Gene Lock users are a mandatory requirement for activating a Team Battle Instance," Meng Yao muttered. What the Reincarnation Watch displayed was simply too hard for her to accept.
"That useless Er Niu unlocked the Gene Lock right before he died!?"

Ono Kei asked in surprise, "Why seventeen?"

Da Qiang counted on his fingers. "Eighteen Crewmates died. A Horror Film has a fixed reward of one thousand points."
"The best-case scenario is that none of the remaining seventeen Crewmates die."
"When you return to the Reincarnation Space and the settlement is complete, you'll have nine hundred Reward Points left, plus one C-rank Side Quest."
"You must hand all of it over to me!"
As a member of the Warrior Race who had also dealt with two Facehuggers, Nova was the first to object. "Why?"
"Heh, why?" Da Qiang pointed at the scar on his chest, which was still healing. "Because of this."

He slammed his fist into the spaceship wall, knocking dust down throughout the room. "I'll smash your legs flat!"
Daniels, the female lead, was utterly dumbfounded!
What the hell was going on?
"I haven't understood anything since you people started talking! What exactly are this guy and that woman from earlier!?"
Ono Kei explained, "We are from the Main God Space—"
The moment she got that far, she immediately covered her mouth.
Because the Reincarnation Watch notified her that ten Reward Points had been deducted.
"Tie up all the original characters first!" Da Qiang gave the order, and everyone immediately got to work. Daniels and Black Girl had no idea what was happening before they were surrounded and tightly bound.
Watching the busy figures, Da Qiang muttered to himself, "No wonder the mission description was so strange. It only listed the requirements, not the rewards or penalties. A Team Battle? Heh."
After Da Qiang left, the newcomers gathered in a circle to discuss their options.
Ono Kei glanced at Fang Yu, the Hooded Man crouching in the corner, and waved at him.

Fang Yu shrugged and walked over. "What's there to discuss? If the sky falls, the tall ones will hold it up."
"Idiot! If we don't figure out how to deal with this, sooner or later we'll become that big guy's cash machines! As long as he's around, we'll never become 'Superman'!" Ono Kei slammed the table and cursed.
"Oh?"
Fang Yu sized up Ono Kei again, taking in her short green hair.
This woman was quick-witted. She had actually seen through Da Qiang's intentions.
Not bad. Not bad.
Seeing Fang Yu sit down, Ono Kei looked at the rest of her teammates.
"I know some of you lied during the introductions. I'm asking again now!"
"Who has fired a gun before!?"
"Who has killed someone before?"
"Please report honestly. This concerns all our lives!"
Everyone looked at one another, each hesitating.
Ono Kei turned her gaze to Nova. "You definitely know how to use a gun."
Nova spread her hands without denying it.
Then Ono Kei turned toward Fang Yu, who had boarded the ship alone without a scratch on him. "You didn't tell the truth either."
"That's right. My name is Fang Yu, not Duke."
Even Ono Kei had no way to handle such a thick-skinned rogue.
Then, a voice none of them had expected spoke up.
"I... I was actually in the military. I'm re-retired."
"Your name is Zhang Jie, right?" Ono Kei slowly nodded. "All right. Before the battle begins, you need to teach us how to fire guns and how to set up defenses!"
Ono Kei looked at Auntie and Ruan Wei. "Also, the personal grudge between you two can wait until after the Team Battle! If I find out that anyone is secretly doing something to harm their teammates, all of us will treat them as an enemy!"
The two nodded thoughtfully. Only they knew what they were truly thinking.
"All right. Let's start setting up defenses. Get moving!"
The newcomer team began working. Fang Yu looked at the refreshed data on his wrist and muttered:
"Even if I die, I'll drag those two beasts down with me!"
The view shifted to the Reincarnation Watch.
