The cold shadow completely enveloped the battered outskirts of West City.

Frieza's uniquely shaped massive spacecraft, like an alien throne, hovered silently above the wreckage of the Ginyu Force and the unconscious Vegeta.

He hovered half a meter above the ground, the tip of his slender tail swaying gently. His narrow, reptilian eyes swept slowly over the battlefield with cold, amused scrutiny.

His gaze first passed over Jeice's twisted, charred corpse; Burter's body torn in half; the scorched crater blasted out by Recoome; Guldo's shriveled body, his eyes wide as though silently screaming. Finally, it settled on Vegeta in the distance, unconscious, the severed tail area a complete mess.

That gaze was chillingly calm. There was not the slightest hint of surprise, anger, or regret—only the pure interest of someone observing an experimental specimen.

Then, the corners of Frieza's small mouth, covered in white shell, slowly curved upward.
