Chapter Summaries

After the Uchiha massacre and Hiruzen Sarutobi's death, Konoha's leaders debated who would become the Fifth Hokage while Uchiha Yu concealed his contempt for the village at the funeral. After taking Sasuke and Naruto to Ichiraku Ramen, Yu agreed to help Sasuke grow stronger and seek revenge on Itachi, but said he first needed to earn Jonin qualification.

• Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu blamed Danzo's unauthorized attack on the Uchiha Clan and concluded that Madara Uchiha might still be alive; the council agreed to protect Uchiha Yu and Sasuke.
