Chapter Summaries

At Impel Down, Pirate World Fang Yu rallied the prisoners of Level 5.5 to prepare a breakout and assigned Lightning and Ivankov their roles. In another storyline, Fang Yu appeared to betray his teammates to pit the East Blue and North Ice Continent Teams against each other, then seized Isora and halted the battle.

• Magellan ordered Sadi and Domino to search the prison walls after surveillance footage showed Lightning returning to Level 5.5, putting the hidden prison community at risk.
• Pirate World Fang Yu convinced the okamas to prepare a breakout and outlined a plan to gather prisoners, steal antidotes, and fight their way to a warship.
• Pirate World Fang Yu gave Lightning and Ivankov antidotes and instructions to free specific prisoners, including an old man whose stolen sword would be crucial.
• Fang Yu brought Li Shuaixi and Fei Hao to meet the East Blue and North Ice Continent Teams, proposing that they sacrifice newcomers to balance the teams’ points.
• After Chu Xuan signaled him to begin, Fang Yu turned on the East Blue Team’s attack, vanished from Gunnar’s side, and grabbed Isora as a hostage.

Chu Xuan tortured Teacher Cang to learn the East Blue Team’s abilities and explained how losing its Mental Controller could let the team stall their stronger opponents. Meanwhile, the story shifted to Impel Down, where Fang Yu and Ivankov prepared to begin their breakout as Magellan closed in.

• Chu Xuan had Zhao Yingkong cut off Teacher Cang’s finger and forced her to reveal the East Blue Team’s abilities.
• Chu Xuan estimated the enemy team’s combat power, identified Teacher Cang as its Mental Controller, and agreed with Fang Yu that they should stall the team.
• New prisoners tried to escape by swimming from Impel Down, but sharks killed them before a giant octopus drove the Marines from the shore.
• An okama recounted the deadly waters in Okama Land, and Ivankov punched him for discouraging the others.
• Pirate World Fang Yu prepared antidotes in a padded pocketed jacket and told Lightning to release the old man before they began their plan.

Lightning freed Red Count from his cell and gave him the sword Yu Kid had left for him, and Red Count prepared to fight again. Meanwhile, Ivankov and the okama freed the prisoners in Level 5 by defeating the guards and warming the cells, then called on them to escape toward the sea.

• Lightning cut open Red Count's cell door and broke the Seastone shackles on his wrists and ankles.
• Lightning gave Red Count the sword Yu Kid had left for him, and Red Count declared that Red the Solitary had arrived.
• Ivankov led the okama through the frozen prison cells and attacked the guards in their heated guard room.
• Ivankov's okama underlings activated the cells' heating system, and the frozen prisoners began to thaw.
• Ivankov raised the keys and urged the prisoners to come with them and embrace the sea, and they answered, “For freedom!”

Pirate World Fang Yu raided the Warden’s Office for antidotes and confronted Magellan as the jailbreak spread through Impel Down. After they exchanged attacks and Fang Yu cleared Magellan’s poisonous gas with Wind Release, both unleashed enormous dragons, leaving their battle unresolved.

• Fang Yu flew into Blazing Hell, attacked the guards, and took every antidote from the Warden’s Office.
• Fang Yu waited for Magellan, then dodged Poison Fugu and used Shave and his Ukaku to evade Magellan’s attacks.
• Magellan filled the office with poisonous gas, but Fang Yu blew it away with Wind Release: Great Breakthrough.
• Magellan expanded his Poison Cloud to threaten the escaping prisoners, while Fang Yu attacked him with feathers and challenged him to accept his escape.
• Magellan’s Poison Gas Bullet overcame Fang Yu’s flames, so Fang Yu combined a torrent of water with the heated boiler to form a Crimson Water Dragon as Magellan summoned a Poison Dragon.

Fang Yu freed half the prisoners in Blazing Hell, but Magellan’s counterattack overwhelmed him and left him near death. As Magellan prepared to leave, Fang Yu’s Second Order Genetic Lock opened, while the other Fang Yu counterparts felt their hearts convulse.

• Fang Yu defeated Magellan temporarily, then used the guards’ keys to free prisoners, including Herlan Carlson, Ugo Bennett, and Iron Head.
• Fang Yu urged the prisoners to free more inmates, but Magellan’s Poison Dragon killed eight prisoners and crushed the breakout’s momentum.

• Fang Yu’s Second Order Genetic Lock enhanced his Ghoul form and combat abilities, letting him withstand Magellan’s punches and evade the Poison Giant.
• Fang Yu attacked Magellan with poisoned feathers and his Tail needle, but Magellan spread Poison Sea across the floor and bombarded him with poison gas and Poison Balls.

• Magellan’s Poison Giant caught up to Fang Yu and sealed the gates with poison, cutting off his escape as Ivankov and Lightning tried to help from outside.
• Fang Yu’s two Earth Grudge Fear Masked Monsters opened a tiny gap in the poison, and he hurled the badly wounded Red Count through it.
• Ivankov injected the Red Count with an antidote, and he washed the poison from himself in the sea before returning to help rescue Fang Yu.
• The Masked Monsters retreated into Fang Yu’s body after being poisoned, while Magellan’s attacks slowed Fang Yu and drove him to use his last antidote syringe.
• Fang Yu accused Magellan of imprisoning him despite his innocence, then launched an Armament Haki- and Lightning Release-coated feather as Magellan unleashed Poison Giant: Death Sentence Judgment.

Lightning, Ivankov, and Red Count broke through Impel Down’s main gate, allowing Lightning to drag the gravely injured Fang Yu outside. Ivankov escaped with them by ship, while Red Count stayed behind to hold off Magellan, who watched the escaping vessels before heading toward the abyss.

• Lightning, Ivankov, and Red Count struck Impel Down’s gate together and brought it crashing down.
• The escapees found Fang Yu near death after his battle with Magellan, and Lightning carried him through the gate despite being poisoned.

• Pirate World Fang Yu woke in a strange space among versions of himself from other worlds, while Ivankov and Lightning explained that the poison had been neutralized but the treatment had left his body in grave danger.
• Ivankov used Emporio Healing Hormone on Pirate World Fang Yu, subjecting him to unbearable pain as the others watched and wept.
• Pirate World Fang Yu regained consciousness, learned he had survived the treatment and escaped Impel Down, and thanked Ivankov and the Okama Kingdom crew.

• Doflamingo returned to the Flamingo Ship, while Strawberry ordered his crew to report the encounter to headquarters and sail for Dressrosa.

Uchiha Yu and Kakashi’s team fought off two Amegakure ninjas while tracking a Konoha defector, drawing Pain and Konan’s attention. As the team hid in a cave, Uchiha Yu sensed a powerful enemy approaching.

• Ivankov, Lightning, and Fang Yu escaped the Marines and set course for the Sabaody Archipelago to change ships.
• Uchiha Yu detected an Amegakure ninja hiding beneath a puddle, and Kakashi led the team into battle.
• Kakashi fought the long-haired ninja while a short, bald ninja attacked Yakumo Kurama, but Uchiha Yu killed the long-haired ninja and Kakashi killed the short one.
• Deva Path Pain sensed that two Amegakure ninjas had died and told Konan to let a nearby ally deal with the intruders.
• The team took shelter in a cave, where Kakashi worried about Uchiha Yu’s growing power and Heaven Curse Mark; Uchiha Yu then sensed a powerful enemy approaching.

Uchiha Yu and Kakashi fought Sasori, whose poisoned attacks and Third Kazekage Puppet pushed Kakashi to the brink. The chapter ended with Yu arriving in time to knock Sasori’s iron sand weapons away and save Kakashi.

• Kakashi and Uchiha Yu faced Sasori inside Hiruko, and Yu warned Kakashi that the puppeteer was exceptionally dangerous.
• Kakashi raised an Earth Wall to block Hiruko’s poison needles while Yu struck the puppet with Water Dragon Bullet.

• Uchiha Yu knocked away Sasori’s Iron Sand attacks and told Kakashi to escape on Ninja Dogs while he held Sasori off.
• Sasori attacked Uchiha Yu with Iron Sand and the Flame Prison Technique, but Uchiha Yu dodged the assaults and countered with a Crimson Water Dragon.
• Uchiha Yu’s water dragon suppressed Sasori’s flames and knocked him off balance, allowing Uchiha Yu to smash the Third Kazekage Puppet’s chest.

• Kakashi lay unconscious as Sasori's poison spread, and Uchiha Yu concluded that returning to Konoha would take too long.
• Uchiha Yu warned the team to avoid the Land of Rain, then had Yakumo Kurama clear the sky with her kekkei genkai and try to heal Kakashi with genjutsu, but neither effort cured him.

• Chu Xuan told Fang Yu that most newcomers had failed his tests, while he considered Zheng Zha's distrust understandable and judged the other teammates’ abilities.
• Zhang Jie asked Chu Xuan for help finding the final killers, and Chu Xuan announced that he would test the mission’s final step.

• Koinu Masao discovered that the East Blue Team’s points had increased, and Miyata Kuraki realized Isora was still alive.
• Miyata Kuraki prepared to rescue Isora, but Koinu Masao and Tanaka Jusuke persuaded him that the Central Continent Team might be baiting him.
