At the border of the Land of Lightning, tens of thousands of meters in the air.

Wind howled past his ears.

Son Goten looked down over the towering mountains below, his body tracing a straight golden line.

Several faint shrieks rose from the ground.

They were warning flares from Kumogakure patrols.

Red beams skimmed past his feet.

He did not look down, continuing to accelerate eastward.

His aura radiated outward naturally.

The moment those flares came within ten meters, invisible pressure knocked them away, sending them vanishing into the sky.

Such petty antics did not even merit his attention.

Half a day later, a border town appeared at the edge of his vision.

His stomach rumbled.

Sustained flight had burned too many calories.

He landed and walked into the town's only eatery.

The place was empty, its wooden floor creaking.

Son Goten found a seat by the window and slapped his right hand on the table.

"Boss, ten bowls of ramen, eight plates of meat, six bowls of rice, and some hot soup!"

The proprietress emerged from the kitchen rubbing her eyes, then stopped at the string of orders.

"Sir, are you... alone?"

He nodded and took out a piece of paper to wipe his hands. "Yeah, just me. Make it quick."

Less than twenty minutes later.

Empty bowls were stacked all over the table.

The proprietress stood beside him, mouth agape, not even noticing the rag slipping from the bowl.

Half the kitchen's food supply had gone into his stomach.

He snapped his fingers and pointed at the board hanging on the wall.

"Say, has a blue-haired guy passed through here lately?"

"Pretty tall, eats even more than I do."

The proprietress came to her senses and followed his finger to the record of unpaid bills on the wall.
