Deep in the New World, the Oro Jackson sailed toward Laugh Tale like a tiny skiff.
The sky suddenly darkened, and ink-black storm clouds gathered like enormous beasts,
baring their fangs and claws, heralding the arrival of a terrible storm.
Soon, howling winds swept in, and mountain-high waves rose and slammed against the hull.
Bean-sized raindrops poured down, striking the deck with a relentless clatter, as though they would drown everything.
Yet Buggy and Shanks were as excited as wild horses freed from their reins, running and shouting to their hearts' content in the rain.
Their laughter mingled with the wind and rain, utterly unafraid of the foul weather.
Buggy danced a strange dance in the rain and shouted, "Haha! Charge ahead! Let's find treasure on Laugh Tale!"
Shanks waved his arms and yelled, "Let the storm rage even harder!"
Roger stood amid the wind and rain, holding his straw hat in place with one hand.
"Take care of yourselves, you brats! Don't get sick and end up unable to visit Laugh Tale!"
The ship struggled onward through the downpour when, suddenly, an eerie bank of fog appeared ahead.
The fog was so dense it seemed solid, shrouding everything as though it concealed countless unknown dangers.
But the Roger Pirates did not falter in the slightest. They plunged resolutely into the fog.
Drawing on their wealth of experience and fearless courage, they felt their way forward through it.
Yet just as they were about to reach Laugh Tale, both Buggy and Shanks came down with severe fevers.
They lay weakly in the cabin, their cheeks burning, drifting in and out of consciousness.
As they watched their companions prepare to set foot on that mysterious island, Laugh Tale,
both boys were filled with frustration, but their weakened bodies left them powerless.
