Lunch consisted of carefully chosen seasonal vegetables and light, nourishing dishes. The guests chatted as they ate, and the meal lasted a long time.
Everyone agreed to go horseback riding together that afternoon to enjoy the spring scenery, and the staff led them toward two small courtyards.
The two courtyards occupied quite a large area, surrounded by rocks and a profusion of cherry blossoms. Both were exceptionally beautiful.
Everyone chose their rooms, unpacked, and rested a little before changing into the riding clothes provided by the resort. The eight of them set off from the courtyards and took a resort sightseeing shuttle to the riding grounds.
Yan Feizhuo had already demonstrated his riding skills on the show before and handled everything with ease.
Declining the instructor who tried to approach, he first helped Sheng Nian choose a gentle mare, then taught him himself.
Sheng Nian had learned a little before, and with Yan Feizhuo there, he was bold enough that he soon managed to hold the reins and trot a couple of laps around the riding grounds under Yan Feizhuo's watchful care.
"I can ride now. Go have some fun too. Just get an instructor to stay with me."
Sheng Nian did not want Yan Feizhuo to do nothing but watch him, so he urged him to pick a horse and ride a few laps too.
Once Yan Feizhuo was sure Sheng Nian could manage on his own, he chose a horse he liked the look of and swung into the saddle.
After walking a few steps, he began riding around the spacious grounds.
Sheng Nian had been holding the reins and moving along at a leisurely walk, but when he saw Yan Feizhuo start running, he stopped and watched him intently.
Yan Feizhuo wore a black riding outfit, his
