The chaotic break came to an end, and the first class of the afternoon was the dreaded physics.
Sheng Nian complained, "Two physics classes in one day? Are they trying to kill us?"
Without even turning his head, Yan Feizhuo replied, "This one's a study period. The old man's out."
Sheng Nian cheered. "Thank goodness!"
"Don't celebrate just yet. Finish your homework. The old man's checking it when he gets back."
Sheng Nian: "..."
How much longer do I have to suffer through this?!
Resigned to his fate, Sheng Nian took out his workbook, picked up his pen, and sluggishly began working through the calculations.
After ages of calculating and covering half a sheet of scratch paper in dense writing, he finally arrived at a condition already given in the problem.
Sheng Nian: "..."
He turned to Yan Feizhuo with lifeless eyes and complained about his own genius calculation methods.
Yan Feizhuo said, "It's fine. You can trust a condition you calculated yourself."
Sheng Nian: "???"
Yan Feizhuo was so matter-of-fact, yet he could still slip in a cold, deadpan joke. Sheng Nian almost laughed out of sheer annoyance.
"Are you making fun of me?! I'm going to make a scene. Yan Feizhuo, I'm telling you, I'm going to make a scene!"
Yan Feizhuo chuckled, turned, and took his workbook away. "Come here. I'll explain it."
Only then did Sheng Nian give a huff and lean closer.
As he listened, it wasn't as though he understood nothing. He still remembered a little of what he'd learned before, after all. But he certainly couldn't claim to understand everything either. He had given all that knowledge back to his teachers after graduation.
He didn't say any of that, though, and just sat there going, "Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. You explain it so well, gege!"
