Xu Wenyue brought Su Li to a villa neighborhood not far away.
She stopped in front of a villa and rang the bell.
A maid came out and asked, "Who are you?"
Xu Wenyue said, "Tell the family that we have a way to treat their child's symptoms."
The maid went inside after hearing that. Before long, a woman and a man came out.
The woman looked to be in her thirties. She was beautiful, poised, and well-groomed, but her face was haggard and her eyes were red, as though she had been crying for a long time. Worry also creased the man's brow.
The woman asked as soon as she saw Xu Wenyue, "You said you could save my son?" There was a glimmer of hope in her eyes.
Xu Wenyue looked at her. "I don't think this is the place to talk."
Only then did the woman realize and hurriedly usher them into the villa.
Once inside, she asked the group to sit and had the maid pour them tea.
The man asked Xu Wenyue, "May I ask your surname?"
"My surname is Xu."
"All right, Ms. Xu. You said you could treat my son's symptoms. Is that true?" A glimmer of hope appeared in the man's eyes as well.
He had sought out many doctors, but they all said there was nothing wrong with his son.
Later, someone said his child's symptoms resembled possession and told him to seek out some masters.
He had no shortage of money and had hired five or six masters. They said it would not happen again, yet within two days, his son was back to the way he had been.
He had already lost hope. He had never expected someone to come today saying they could save his son.
