Where was this? A pigpen!

Beside them, the director finally couldn't stand the farce any longer. He hurried over to the gong and struck it.

The loud clang drew everyone's attention.

"All right, it's time for our task. First, I'll rearrange the teams."

"Shen Ting and Si Chen."

"Wen Nuannuan and Su Yu."

"Su Weiwang and Pei Ming."

"Shen Rui and Bai Yuanyuan."

"Meng Yun and Yan Yi."

"Here are the rules for this round of hide-and-seek. One team will stay behind to seek while the others hide. Meng Yun and Yan Yi will be the seekers, and everyone else will hide. If both members of a team are found, they won't get lunch from the production team. If one person is found, their lunch will be halved. If neither is found, they'll get to enjoy a deluxe lunch provided by the production team."

"The seekers will get half a lunch for finding one team and a deluxe lunch for finding two teams. All right, let the game begin! You can go hide now. In ten minutes, the whistle will blow, and the search will start on time."

[Ooh! They've completely shuffled the teams.]

Shen Ting was the first to run out, with Si Chen following behind him.

Not long after leaving the courtyard, Shen Ting spotted a group of elderly women sitting outside a house, shelling peanuts.

An idea suddenly struck Shen Ting. He swapped clothes with one of the younger women. Her clothes were fairly large and fit right over him.

Shen Ting also borrowed a scarf from her, wrapped it around his head, and tied a knot under his chin.

Just like that, Shen Ting sat among the group. Without a close look, no one would notice him at all.

Si Chen watched, dumbfounded. Once he recovered, he wanted to follow suit, but not a single person's clothes would fit him.

Shen Ting checked the time and nudged Si Chen, who was still trying on clothes. "Can't you find somewhere else to hide? Time's almost up. Looks like you don't want lunch."

"Shen Ting! Don't forget we're on the same team." Si Chen said it through gritted teeth. An evil idea even arose in his mind: perhaps he should just lose and use the opportunity to get back at Shen Ting.

Of course, Shen Ting understood what Si Chen meant. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted somewhere nearby, and a wicked smile suddenly curled his lips. You want me to find you a place, huh? Don't regret it.

"Are you sure you want me to find you somewhere?"

"Yes. Otherwise, we'll both lose." Si Chen looked smug.

"Sure, but you have to agree to one condition." Shen Ting nodded.

"What condition?" Si Chen hesitated a little, feeling that the man before him was up to no good.

"You can't make a sound. Not just noises from moving around-you can't cry out, either." Shen Ting stood up.

"Fine!" Si Chen thought it over and ultimately agreed.

"Come with me." Shen Ting tugged Si Chen toward the left side of the courtyard.

Shen Ting opened a small door, shoved Si Chen straight inside, and casually shut it behind him.

"Si Chen, don't forget what you promised me! Anyone who goes back on his word is a puppy."

With that, Shen Ting dusted off his hands and walked back to the group.

An overpowering stench filled Si Chen's nose.

"Oink, oink, oink..."

"Oink, oink, oink..."

A series of inexplicably familiar cries reached him.

Puzzled, Si Chen turned his head and found himself staring straight at a little pig that had just eaten its fill.

Something seemed to occur to Si Chen. He looked around!

Sure enough, this was a pigpen!

Shen Ting, I'm going to k- you!!!

Si Chen roared furiously in his mind, the red veins in his eyes particularly conspicuous at that moment.

[Hahaha, I knew Shen Ting couldn't be that nice. It's actually a pigpen.]

[He really won't be easy to find there. Wen Nuannuan is hiding in the chicken coop next door, too.]

[Little pig: Oink, oink, oink. Hello, human. Si Chen: Stay away from me.]

[Hahaha, looks like Shen Ting has a shot at that feast.]

Once the ten minutes were up, Yan Yi and Meng Yun immediately split up to search.

Yan Yi happened to head toward Shen Ting's hiding place.

Yan Yi strolled over to the group of elderly women. Just as he was about to walk past, he suddenly seemed to notice something and took two steps back.

With his head lowered, Shen Ting didn't see him. His hands were full of shelled peanuts the women had given him.

Smelling the peanuts, Shen Ting couldn't resist eating one, then another, and another.

Yan Yi watched the one person who stood out among the elderly women.

Narrowing his eyes, Yan Yi studied him carefully. Only after spotting a familiar pair of shoes did he leisurely withdraw his gaze.

Yan Yi didn't expose him and simply walked away.

Not long after leaving, Yan Yi easily found Wen Nuannuan and Su Yu arguing in the chicken coop.

"You're scared of a chick? If you're scared, you shouldn't have followed me here to hide! Great, now neither of us gets lunch." Wen Nuannuan's face flushed with anger. It was only a newly hatched chick, yet it had frightened Su Yu so badly that he'd nearly knocked over the rack.

Su Yu's face was flushed, too. He hadn't expected it to be a chick, either. He'd thought it was a chicken as big as a rooster.

The two returned to the courtyard wearing different expressions. So far, they were the only ones who had been found.

Wen Nuannuan went straight to the spot farthest from Su Yu and sat down.

Half an hour later, Shen Rui and Bai Yuanyuan were found as well.

Bai Yuanyuan thought she'd hidden herself very well, up on the roof of a villager's house. It was all her damned curiosity's fault. She'd only poked her head out to see if anyone was around, only to look straight at Meng Yun, who was searching for people.

Meng Yun and Yan Yi met up again, and Meng Yun suggested switching areas and searching them once more.

Yan Yi's expression changed when he heard this, and he caught hold of Meng Yun. "How about I search your side again with you instead?"

"Why?" Meng Yun asked in confusion.

"There are loads of bugs over there. I've already run into several, and they're huge." Looking frightened, Yan Yi rubbed his sleeve.

Hearing that, Meng Yun stopped dwelling on it and hurriedly nodded, touched.

And so, the two moved farther and farther away from Shen Ting.

[Yan Yi actually spotted Shen Ting, didn't he?]

[He definitely did. He stopped beside Shen Ting for ages.]

[What magical abundance of bugs. There are barely any trees over there, and there's a huge concrete courtyard.]
