After finishing their meal, Shen Ting and his mother planned to stroll around a little more to help their food settle.

Just as the elevator came into view, a sudden commotion and a woman's scream came from behind them.
"My bag! Thief! Thief! Somebody catch that thief!" a woman shouted, pointing at the man fleeing ahead of her!
Shen Ting narrowed his eyes at the man running toward him, then turned and saw that the restaurant next door happened to be holding an event. A huge flag wishing students success on their college entrance exams stood outside its entrance.
Shen Ting pulled the flag out in one clean motion, spun the pole in one hand, then swung it forward, striking the thief squarely on the shoulder.
"Ow!" Caught off guard, the man took the full blow, toppled backward, and fell to the floor, writhing in pain.

She picked up her bag and, without even checking whether anything was missing, began smashing it into the man on the floor.
